“Great food great meeting place”
Reviewed 13 May 2014 via mobile

I love this little place. The food is always excellent, homemade, fresh and healthy. Portion size is perfect. Great place for a work meeting or quiet time on your computer. Deena is so sweet.

“Can be better”
Reviewed 11 March 2014

I agree with the other reviewer who said that the prices are high for what you get. I had the egg soufflé which was tasty but a little salty. It was served all by itself. We met the owner who is delightful. We spoke to her and suggested that, considering the price, she should at least serve a few pieces of fruit to at least make a better presentation. We recently went back and no changes have been made. The décor is nice. The baked goods look great. We have not tried it for lunch. With a little tweaking this could be a great breakfast location. The décor and portion sizes seem to be geared to women.

“OVER PRICED BUT GOOD”
Reviewed 25 February 2014

No complaints about the quality or taste of the food. The portions are small and the prices are very high for what you actually receive. We're not big eaters. We don't mind paying for quality food but this places pricing is ridiculous. You can get the same quality food at other venues in town for the same money and not walk away feeling ripped off and still hungry. Don't expect a cup of soup if you order it because it's probably half a cup. Paninis are skimpy. Lotsa bread, little filling.

“Tasty, delicious lunch!”
Reviewed 3 February 2014

Deena makes an amazing mushroom bisque soup! All her soups, brownies and lunch items are very tasty! We've been here many times since she opened not too long ago.
Deena, herself, is very friendly; and she makes delicious brownies too!
t's the best place for a lunch in Punta Gorda. Quiches look good here, but have not yet tried them.
This is a must-try place!

“Unique and Delectable”
Reviewed 23 January 2014

My friend and I decided to try this small cafe because we heard it was good. We heard right...not only is it "good" it is "very good." It is a relaxed atmosphere. The owner greets you with a very pleasant, enthusiastic attitude and explains the menu, which is posted above the register area. Everything is made from scratch, including the bread. The menu is simple and includes soups, quiche, salads and paninis. You pay at the time you order and the food is brought to your table. You get a cup of soup or salad with your order. The soup we ordered was a creamy sausage and kale mixture. It was fantastic and you get a generous cup. Try the Mediterranean Gobbler panini. The flavors of turkey breast, artichoke hearts, fetal cheese and sun-dried tomato melded together brilliantly. The service was prompt. The decor is a bit sparse which makes it a bit noisy if there are a lot of customers. The owner talks with customers to discuss their food and make sure people are satisfied. Her cheeriness certainly adds to the atmosphere. Everything is so specialized...she even blends her own tea. It is a unique experience with wonderful food. Cost was $11 including drink. When I left, my thoughts were "how soon can I come back."
