we didn't get the suite we reserved, the 2 rooms we were given were in the unremodeled section of the hotel, they gave them to us half price, they were musty, moldy smelling, the frige was noisey, and one room had no towels.six hours after mentioning it to the front desk,i went back to the front desk and picked them up myself.i was told the hotel was being bought out by another line. good luck, pal. clean house as well as your rooms.i will suggest to the convention we were attending to try the hotel across the street from ther convention center.B

Room Tip: go across the street

No longer part of the Best Western brand and undergoing "rennovation", now called the PG Waterfront, the hotel is in a fantastic location next to the water and a small park with walking/running path. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was pretty average for a hotel but the price was the best in the area. Arrived very late in the evening, but close to a steakhouse and within walking distance of smaller restaurants in town. Staff was efficient and courteous. Pets allowed for an extra fee but dogs are not allowed in the park just outside the hotel. Will stay again but suspect with the rennovations the price will go up.

Stayed 2/9-2/12/12. Check in was delayed. Initial room entry was okay, but then was locked out of room, though key card indicator was green. Rude front desk person told me to lift up on door handle as sometimes it doesn't work when pushed down. She eventually took our key cards and came up and got door open. Because I complained, she told us we could always leave or be asked to leave because we weren't happy with the situation. The next day we went down for breakfast only to find that keys were deactivated when we came back to our room. One of the cleaning people took our keys downstairs and reactivated them for us. This was in marked contrast to the help rendered by the front desk staff.

Front door to hotel would not close all the time, which on 2/12 with the morning temperature at 37 degrees, made it impossible to take advanatage of the breakfast in the lobby. Just too cold.

Hotel is in bankruptcy so it's apparent that they don't care about maintenance or customer service.

Has the potential to be a really good hotel, but has a long way to go.

Excellent location and a good price for waterfront. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. BUT... They do not provide adequate security seemingly clueless to the vagrants right outside their door. It appears that a few have found the breakfast bar and free Internet to their liking...even napping in the lobby. Management--are you paying attention or do you quietly condom this?

Spent two nights there. Unfortunately the pool was frigid, because of a mechanical problem. The elevator was also out of operation for a day, for repairs. There is no public restroom, and the one in the next door restaurant was also out of order. The continental breakfast is very basic, and served in the cramped lobby. On the morning I was there it was cold outside, and whenever the lobby doors opened you got a blast. Finally, although the room was pleasingly decorated and large, the mattress was uncomfortable and the towels were anything but fluffy. But I would perhaps stay there again. Nice on the bay setting and close to downtown shops and restaurants. Very reasonable, especially for the high season.

Room Tip: Ask for an even number room, facing the bay.
