“A great Marriott property”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 December 2013

This is another great Marriott timeshare resort. A very attentive staff with many activities to choose from. The accommodations are new and well kept. The entire site is not as large as many of the resorts we have stayed in so the amount of amenities are also less but it has everything you need. The one drawback is the need ot use your room key for the elevators to work. Some of those key readers need to be replaced in my opinion or abandoned totally. They are very touchy. Make sure you get it o work before the elevator doors close or you may just be riding hte elevator for awhile !

Room Tip: All the rooms are the same I think. You should request the building closer to the ocean.

We spent Thanksgiving week at this property. Our room was in the Sunrise building(room 1145) . This building sits on the beach. Our room was freaking awesome. Corner room, saw ocean and intercoastal from our balcony and bedrooms.(Thanks to Matt at Travel Daly for hooking us up with another great vacation). This property gets 5 stars from us. It was clean, staff was friendly. Christina A. at concierge desk was most helpful, Lashonda at front desk was very friendly, Tom the beach attendant was a wealth of knowledge. Weather was high 70's, low 80's, sunny except for one day, but VERY windy. Were asked twice to go to a presentation, but not pressured. Not a lot to do on Singer but ten minutes away are lots of great restaurants. I will mention that we traveled with our daughters, both college age and they had a great time as well. Restaurants that served gluten free(we have a daughter with celiac disease) were: Seasons52(pricey, but good), mellow mushroom had gluten free pizza, Two Drunken Goats(walking distance from hotel) is a beachy open air place, Thaicoon, Guanabanas in Jupiter(landscaping is beautiful-open air). Carmines in N. Palm was decent but their gluten free pasta is NOT cooked seperate, hence it's not gluten free. There is a Publix right before you cross over to Singer Island, it looks like an office building , parking is in a garage and you go down to the store. Package store few doors down from Publix. Airboat ride in Parkland was informative, good for families-go early to see the gators. Lion Country Safari was fun(coupon on your phone). Would say this was a very good trip. If all Marriott Vacation Clubs are like this, I would stay there again.

Room Tip: Sunrise Building - corner room (ours was 1145) gorgeous views

Everything you expect from a Marriott and more. Lovely location with easy access. Beach was great, the beautiful rooms, excellent staff all made for a great weeks stay. Could not ask for a better vacation spot. Will return.

We stayed with our party of 21 people with my elderly mother. The size of the property was perfect for getting around. There is nothing worse than a big resort when you forget something in your room and it takes 20 minutes to get it. There was always something going on at the pool, so our family was able to spend most of our week without leaving the resort. Our young adult children enjoyed beach volleyball and playing pool until late at night. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more accomodating. The rooms are new and beautiful.Though we had an ocean view room, the balconies were spacious with a good view of the ocean and intercoastal. There was everything we needed to serve Thanksgiving dinner in our room. We had a family photo taken by the photographer reccomended by the hotel. She was great as well.

the good: friendly staff, very clean and well-kept property. great proximity to the beach. lots of activities for kids and kids' staff was great. great to have access to free beach chairs and free parking! beach was very clean with nice sand.

the bad: parking lot is so tight i'd be surprised if they don't have a lot of fender benders. although staff is friendly, don't expect 5 star service -- no valet, doorman, pool/beach service etc (i don't need that stuff, but people should be aware it isn't there).
it has a hustle and bustle feel. if you're traveling with (young-ish) kids and looking for entertainment, i think it's a good fit. if you're looking for a relaxing, quiet trip i don't think this is the place. lots of noise by the pool -- people on microphones playing games of "family feud," blackjack, etc. by the pool, music playing constantly, and you're just surrounded by people all the time in the public spaces. I think they do the best they can with the space provided, it's just a tight fit.
o, our biggest complaint was the noise from the unit above us every night!! we could hear walking, thumping, furniture dragging -- possibly bowling (?) every night til 1:30am. noise from adjoining units was buffered well, but not from above. also, the pics of "huge" balconies was a bit deceiving. we had an ocean-front corner unit and the "wrap around" balcony was not as large as expected. i don't believe an upgrade to ocean-front is worth it unless you plan on spending ALL your time on your balcony.
also, it was way windy every day of our 6 day stay. i think that's just part of the location of being on Singer Island. just expect that being on a small island on the atlantic side is going to make for a windy vaca. and there's a very strong sweet perfume smell throughout the whole property. it made me nauseous. i know this review sounds totally nit-picky, but i'm a picky leisure traveler (i'll stay anywhere clean for business, but for leisure i want the best!), and just want to let similar travelers know what to expect.
all in all, i would stay here again if i was in the area, but i will look for somewhere else for next year's vacation.

Room Tip: i don't thing upgrade to ocean-front is worth it. seemed all rooms had a decent view and you spe...

I usually love the Marriott properties but this one is a terrible design. They put too much on a postage stamp lot....too many people, not enough pool or sitting space. Two buildings on this small lot should have never been allowed. Parking is terrible....overall, I would NOT recommend this property.
The rooms are nice though...but hey, ya come to Florida to be outside by the pool...

Room Tip: Choose another Marriott property. If you must stay here ask for the beachfront building

This was the best timeshare resort we have ever been to in our nearly 10 years of trading our Orlando timeshare! We received a beautiful room on the 19th floor which is the second to the top floor in the sunrise building which is the building right on the beach. Our view was north facing which means we didnt get any sun but we had a beautiful view. The resort tries to provide many activities for the family including muffins and mimosas on Wednesdays and Fondue Friday! They also had many exercise and kids activities scheduled everyday. The beach as also gorgeous with the water temperature around 80 everyday however some days it was a little rough for swimming. The best part of this resort was the staff. They were always so nice and more than willing to talk to you as you passed them in the hallway. We will be back! Hopefully sooner rather than later!

Room Tip: Ask for the sunrise building and if you want sun make sure to say south facing.
