“Still an awesome place to stay!!!”
Reviewed 6 June 2014

I have stayed at Pirates Pointe Resort previously and loved it. This time was no different. The resort is off of the main road and set back off the street, but once you are there it is like being in a whole different place. Normally when I am in a new place, the first night's sleep is not very good. However, here I sleep through the whole night and wake up in the morning fully refreshed. I love going down and setting on the dock and watching the fish jump or just sitting on the porch and reading a book. I only wish that one time I was not working when I am there so I could try out the fishing. The cabin was spotless and everything worked exactly as it should. I would recommend this resort to anyone who is looking for a quiet out of the way place to stay and relax. If you like nightlife you will not find it here, so you need to head to Ybor City or the casino, but if you love a nice quiet uneventful night then head to Pirates Point Resort.

Room Tip: I have only stayed in the two cabins by the office, but they were both great. Looking around I did n...

This is our favorite place to go to relax and have a quiet peaceful vacation. Love sitting on the dock and watching the fish and wildlife. The rooms and very nice, the place is well kept. Love sitting on our private patio with a book. Our second visit and we can't wait to return.

We found this through Groupon and had a wonderful time. Our cute studio had a private patio with very comfortable lounges. The blooming flowers and gorgeous trees created a perfect hide-away. Kayaking the Little Manatee River gave us quiet passes through mangroves and bayous as well as more challenging bay waters--saw dolphins and stingrays along with the pelicans and ospreys. Loved the beautiful sunsets from the dock--picture perfect with benches and Adirondack chairs.

I got a living social deal for this place so we tried it out. I was a little weary since you go into a neighborhood first but it was very cute and well maintained. It is in the middle of nowhere and you definitely need a car to see the sights. It is a place to have a very quiet relaxing stay. The owner was friendly and we enjoyed our short stay.

Lovely cabins and rooms, surrounded by peace!!! Area very clean and lush with plants. Friendly helpful staff, knowledgeable of area. Our cabin had a private patio, very nice in the morning to have coffee there and listen to the birds. Dock area and pool are well kept, make for a very nice visit. We WILL return!!

Room Tip: All the cabins are nice, depends on the room you need

Wonderful hidden treasure. Quiet and peaceful atmosphere with very attractive landscape and well appointed cottages. Great pool area. Docks for your boat give it an extra since the fishing seems to be good. While we were there several guests returned with great catches. Jonathan was cordial ad helpful with local information. Will definitely put this on our "must return" list.

Room Tip: I think they are all well appointed. 1811 and 1813 are connecting for if traveling with another cou...

This IS a hidden gem in the Old Florida style. The landscaping is lush and the atmosphere is of peace and quiet. The weather was perfect so we enjoyed lots of outside time on the river dock, poolside and on our private, large patio. Johnathon was most accommodating and we appreciated his restaurant recommendations. We had the studio "apartment" which was adequate for our two night stay. If staying longer I would opt for a larger unit. My husband enjoyed his 4 hour fishing trip and we were only about 20 minutes from the Hard Rock casino. The pool and area were lovely but the water was too cold to go in. Johnathon said he does heat it for the winter. A great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

Room Tip: Do not get a studio if you're staying longer than a few nights. Try Circles restaurant in Apoll...
