“2014 Best Florida Strawberries”

Morgan's Farm Market and Berrylicious
Ranked #18 of 58 Restaurants in Ruskin
Cuisines: American
Description: These small but excellent road side shacks have the best of many things. Number 1 is the strawberry milkshakes; #2 is the Cuban sandwich, #3 is the jumbo Gulf shrimp and #4 the tomatoes and produce. We recently moved to the area and have been looking for family owned establishments with great food to replace our favorite but too far away haunts in Tampa. Morgan Farms will not disappoint. During strawberry season this IS the place to go for large, sweet strawberries. Even after the season, the fresh strawberry milkshakes are excellent. Morgan’s also sell fresh seafood. Depending on the day and whatever is plentiful, they provide fresh jumbo shrimp, grouper, snapper, etc. Then there is the Cuban sandwich. For those of you who live in the Tampa Bay region, you might have your favorite places. But this tiny trailer puts out the best authentic Cuban I have ever had. You MUST try it. So before you grab yourself some jumbo shrimp and veggies for dinner, get a Cuban sandwich and a strawberry milkshake for lunch...you will not be disappointed.

Small farm market on 41 in Ruskin (south of Apollo Beach). We tried their just picked strawberries, which were the sweetest we have ever eaten!! Purchased a few quarts. Then wander over to the eating area & order either the strawberry shortcake or strawberry sundae. Worth the ride from Tampa.

I took my 6-8th grade classes to the farms and they were very accommodating. They took the students on a tour and allowed them to explore a little on their own.

When we come visit during spring break the kids can't wait to go to the strawberry patch for lunch. For several years now Goodson's Strawberry Patch has been closed. We recently found this place on the way home from Anna Maria Island. We were pleasantly surprised to find the cubans great and the milkshakes awesome. My daughter even got the chocolate strawberry shortcake, it was great too. There was not a morsel left on any of the 4 kid's plates. They have several big coolers with lots of fresh fish and shrimp. A little pricey but when we got home and cooked the salmon and red shrimp, it was worth the few extra dollars. We have a vacation house in Ruskin and we are so glad this place is soooo close. If you are on US 41 you should give it a try!

We live nearby, and each year await the opening of Morgan's. Tasty berry treats, flats of berries, and surprisingly good pressed Cuban sandwiches. We always include Morgan's for visiting friends and relatives, and the response is 100% positive. Don't expect a restaurant experience...stand-in-line, grab a communal seat at the outside picnic tables and chow down.
