St. Francis Inn Bed and Breakfast

Certificate of Excellence

This was our second visit to one of the beach properties of the St. Francis Inn. We enjoyed our first visit so much that we stayed longer the second time.We have plans to return next year. We stayed in the Beach Bungalow on Anastasia Island. The Inn provides us with the best of both worlds: being only steps from the ocean and having all the amenities of the Inn available to us. The breakfasts are amazing and varied daily. There is a social hour and in the evening dessert is provided as well. The food is delicious and well prepared. The location of the Inn is perfect being in the historical section of St. Augustine and within walking distance to shops, restaurants and historical sites. Parking is provided to Inn guests.

The staff are exceptional in their friendliness and going out of their way to make your stay the best. We were very impressed with welcoming and warm atmosphere that the staff provides every day not just upon arrival. We felt like the St. Francis Inn is our home away from home.

I highly recommend the st. Francis Inn!!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Beach Bungalow on Anastasia Island.

My husband surprised me by staying here and we both were NOT disappointed! We had the best time with your staff, the snacks and the social hour (I really liked the sangria). You can eat a decent breakfast, a good sized lunch out in the center and eat a light dinner at the Inn and it would be just enough food to last you for the evening. We especially loved the ambiance of the Inn and our room (Marie's) which was in the perfect spot. My husband and I were planning on going to Ireland for our 15th Anniversary but we had to move our family so that trip is put in hold for now. Staying at the Inn was THE BEST compromise! Thank you to all the staff, you truly have a gem!

From the moment we walked in until the moment we checked out, comfort and service abound. This is so much more than a bed and breakfast. It is a culinary experience. From the afternoon happy hour with San Sebastian wines and homemade appetizers to the dessert hour to the delicious breakfast, St. Francis is sure to please. Add in the convenience of complimentary parking and the centralized location where you can walk to all of the sights in the historic district and you have a recipe for perfection. The staff was courteous and helpful and the rooms were very comfortable.

Our first visit to lovely St. Augustine was made even more enjoyable by staying at the St. Francis Inn. The staff was hospitable and very accommodating. The food at breakfast, the social hour, and dessert was homemade and delicious while the setting afforded us the opportunity to connect with other guests. The location, on a narrow cobblestone street at the edge of the historic district, was quiet but also within easy walking distance of the harbor and the center of town. The beach house was a real bonus with its parking, beach chairs and towels as well as a bathroom with a shower and easy beach access. We stayed in Miss Emilie's room on the second floor of the Wilson House. The room was comfortable, quiet, well appointed and bright with a
large bathroom. We would
definitely stay there again. David & Debbie Killory, Plymouth, MA.

Thrilled from the start that parking was convenient and easy. Realized early that St. Augustine is a walking adventure. As we crossed the street into the St. Francis courtyard, our first impression was the charming, perfectly maintained and manicured courtyard. It'd been many years since I'd enjoyed the bed and breakfast experience. Once I embraced the quaint, sweet, historic, authentic accommodations (not to be confused with the corporate hotel culture)...the historic, clean, comfortable spirit of this over 200 year old paradise overwhelmed me. All day coffee, tea, water, parking, umbrellas, and kind, thoughtful employees. Definitely worth it!

My wife and I recently stayed at the St. Francis Inn. We stayed for four nights. We wished it could have been more.
The staff is incredibly accommodating. They go above and beyond to service their clients.
The rooms are immaculately clean and comfortable.
The breakfast is extraordinary with a host of different offerings daily.
The extra amenities such as beer, wine, snacks each afternoon are wonderful.
The outdoor seating area is so very inviting with tables and chairs in a secluded area.
The owners are fantastic. Joe is one of the nicest, hospitable, innkeeper you could converse with. His expertise and knowledge of St.Augustine was invaluable.
We will return. A highly recommended must stay.

Room Tip: We stayed in Dummet. The room has a wonderful view with a refrigerator.

My husband and I stayed at the St. Francis Inn with our sons, ages 8 and 11, because we wanted to experience historic St. Augustine in an authentic B&B instead of a generic hotel. I was surprised at how family-friendly it actually was. The Saffron Suite was like having our own apartment, complete with front porch. The food was delicious, and there was always something available whenever the kids wanted a snack, even at bedtime. We borrowed the inn's bicycles and rode them along the waterfront to the Castillo (we brought scooters from home for the kids.) The staff were very accommodating and hospitable. Although there were plenty of antiques, the sofas, sofa bed, and chairs in our suite were modern, making it more comfortable for our family. I'm so glad we stayed at the St. Francis Inn!

Room Tip: The Saffron Suiite had a bedroom with queen bed, living area with pull-put queen sofa bed, one bathr...
