Stayed here in December for one night and loved it. Locationwise it is in the middle of everything, all the attractions and restaurants are short walk away. The rooms were beautiful and clean and the owner very helpful. Would definitely come again.

A real gem of a B&B in a quite location with a car park at the rear of the inn and is within walking distance of the sea front, places of interest and eateries. Our room was comfortably furnished and very clean, the bathroom was small but perfectly adequate.
Breakfast / Brunch was served at 10.30 which suited us perfectly for a relaxing couple of days away . The food was excellent, three courses, large portions, we only needed a light meal in the evening.
The owners were very helpful and friendly. We will be staying again .

Our room at the Saragossa was gorgeous, clean and extremely comfortable. When we go on vacation, we usually have trouble sleeping. NOT at the Saragossa!! Thank you, Gibbs for the comfortable bed!! Gibbs does serve more of a brunch than a breakfast. Since the location of the inn was so perfect for exploring the city and there was coffee supplied in the room, we could rise early, have a cup to get going, explore a little then go back for brunch. And what delicious and sustaining food it was! No problem waiting for late dinner. Parking availability behind the inn was great too as it is tough to find parking in St. Augustine. The only thing I would suggest is that anyone staying more than 2 nights be supplied with fresh towels automatically....they could be hung in a bag on the door and our used ones could be placed in same bag for laundry. Would we return? ABSOLUTELY!!!

Room Tip: We stayed in Honeysuckle room. Lovely

We stayed here for two nights. The room was nicely decorated and quite clean.
I do have a couple of cautions. The bathroom was tiny. We have stayed in dozens of bb's and this was the smallest bathroom yet. My wife is under 100 lbs and she found it quite cramped.
We had to move some of the decorations around to make it work.
The Brunch was very good with huge portions. Our personal preference is to eat breakfast at about 7, so the first call at 9:30 did not work for us.
Gibbs was a gracious host and quite responsive to our call for ice.
If the late brunch and small bathrooms work for you we would highly recommend.

This was our first opportunity to stay at a bed and breakfast because they usually require you to stay both nights of the weekend and we cannot do that.We stayed at the Saragossa Inn from Sunday to Saturday (6 days) and did not want to leave. The location is perfect. The inn is nestled on a homey tree lined street, but you are a mere couple blocks from all the action in the historic district. There is parking behind the inn. Very convenient. We stayed in the Garden Mist room and enjoyed a king size bed, lovely room and a peaceful porch where we could enjoy morning coffee. All the linens, sheets and towels were so soft and smelled good. The innkeepers will not disturb your room unless you request it, so we had to ask for fresh linens and supplies. That felt odd at first, but we did appreciate the privacy. Gibbs brunch has a rep for a reason. Delicious. My husband is not an adventurous eater at all, but he ate every bite of Gibbs food, even foods I've never seen him try!!! We enjoyed visiting with the other guests at brunch and Gibbs is a natural host. The only negative would be the shower was a little temperamental, but it is an old house and you have to allow a few quirks! Overall, highly recommended

My husband and I recently stayed here for two nights. We were considering staying at a hotel but being a holiday weekend, we decided to give this inn a try since it was more budget friendly and the reviews here were great. I am so glad we decided to stay here instead of the hotel we had originally chosen. Gibbs is a wonderful host and the breakfast exceeded our expectations. I let him know ahead of time that I was a vegetarian and he was happy to accommodate my request. The location is perfect if you're looking for a place to park and walk downtown. When we checked in, Gibbs gave us recommendations for the area which were all helpful including one of his restaurant suggestions. We stayed in the Southwind room and were very happy with the room and the comfort level of the bed. We enjoyed our time in St. Augustine and will definitely stay here again on future visits.

We recently stayed here for three nights. Gibbs is a lovely host. Meals are tasty. Very welcoming atmosphere for straight or gay couples. We had our dogs, and our dog friendly room was very clean. It didnt have any bad smells from prior doggy visitors. We were in the garden mist. My only suggestion would be to swap out one of the sofa tables for a dresser. There's no place to really unpack your clothes. The water in the shower is difficult to regulate, but then again, it is a really old house. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Room temperature is regulated by the guest. Plenty of parking is available and the location is perfect for anyone staying in the historic district. We will be staying here again!
