Owner description: Join us on a Ghostly Encounter. Enter the Love Tree Cottage to hear strange and unusual stories of those who refuse to leave. We also visit two cemeteries, the city gates the grounds of the Old Fort and many of your guides favorite haunts. Tour will last approximately 90 minutes with about 35 to 40 minutes of actual walking. People come from all over Florida, Ponte Vedra, Vilano Beach, St. Augustine Beach, Hastings, Palatka, Daytona Beach, and Orlando to name a few to take our tour. We have been touring longer than all other ghost tours in St. Augustine, except one, which now does not have the same owner. We offer an exceptional experience for the entire family and are pet friendly as well. No one tries harder to make you happy than the guides at "A Ghostly Encounter"!

“Hauntingly Fun Tour for the Whole Family”
Reviewed 17 July 2014

Overall, this tour was one of the funner and more exciting attractions in the city. I happened to walk through with Morgan, who took all of us through two of the graveyards, up to the city gates, through a few haunted ally ways, up to the fort, and even through a haunted building. Each location had an interesting story behind its history and who or what haunts it. I highly recommend that everyone give it a try - you might even catch an apparition on camera!

“Learned something here !”

This was just want we expected . Walking the old part of town learning what they Lived through in those years was terrifying. Now I also know why we have certain sayings , like " He's a dead ringer " etc.

“Decent Ghost Tour”
Reviewed 4 July 2014

I didn't think this attraction was anything spectacular. It's pretty standard as far as ghost tours go, nothing too spooky and they were all pretty family-friendly stories. If you've got a mixed group of people and need to appease adults and children, this is a good tour. The stories are fairly interesting, but nothing too scary that your kids are going to run away screaming. Nothing really outstanding happened during our tour and it didn't convince me one way or the other about whether ghosts exist. They don't let you walk around graveyards or go into a bunch of haunted buildings. They just walk you around the edges of St. George Street and show you two cemeteries, the fort, and their 'certified haunted building.' Our guide was great, though! Morgan was nice and personable. I wouldn't pay $15 to do it again, but it was interesting the first time.
