A quick easy way to connect to the city's past and gain an appreciation for all that has transpired in St. Augustine since the middle of the 16th century. Our guide, Lynn, was bright, knowledgeable, and fun. She was full of historical facts and has a locals insight into St. Augustine today. We were completely unaware of the roll the city played in the Civil Rights Movement and the new monuments commemorating those events are beautiful. The tour was well worth the effort.

This tour is great. And, Skadi our Tour Guide was very knowledgable.
I have walked by this place for 15 years and liked what I saw, never understanding all that happened there.
Learning the History of each monument, etc with detail is fantastic.
I have loved the Lions on the Bridge of Lions and now know why they are there.
To learn about the Public Well, etc.
VERY good for tourist and residents.

Our fabulous tour guide Skadi gave us a fantastic tour of the Plaza de la Constitucion which included great information. We usually just cut through the plaza on our way to explore other areas on downtown St. Augustine but now knowing more about it we will linger there a bit longer :)

Even if you're a local, I'll bet you learn something new about America's oldest plaza in America's oldest city on the City Walks Plaza Stroll. Guide Lynn Rothemund's smile competed with the sunshine on this mid-morning tour. You won't walk past a monument or landmark in the oldest city's center without remembering some of the compelling stories. For visitors, I recommend this as a great starting point on your visit to St. Augustine.

I found this stroll to be really informative and interesting, and it is a real bonus that it is offered in Spanish as well as English. If you chose the Spanish version, the guide might be a delightful, young Cuban-American woman, who is genuinely interested in the history of the town. Her explanations and stories were clear and well told, and throughout the entire stroll, we never had to listen to a canned, memorized, monotonous speech. For her St. Augustine's history is alive and important, making it the wonderful city it is today, and this made the tour that much more enjoyable. All stories, those that cast St. Augustine in a positive light as well as those that are a black mark on its long history, were told with enthusiasm and interest, which engaged her audience all the more. This tour is well worth the fee, and for those who speak the language, and want to feel the 400+years of St. Augustine's vibrant history come alive, I would suggest one take the tour in Spanish, especially if Isabel is the guide. And at the end of the tour, take the time to revisit some of the stops around the plaza. Take the time to find out about other areas of the city that also have rich histories and interesting stories. You will find that St. Augustine is much more than StarWars or wax museums.
