Probably not for everyone, but this authentic neighbourhood from the 1800's is quite incredible. Just imagining how people lived and the history that went on in these houses is incredible. In the late 1800's the Emancipation Proclamation was read supposedly read in the courtyard of these houses.

We had dinner at a really good mom and pop Italian restaurant just off I-95 exit 318. Go west on Rt 16 until the first shopping center on the right. Cucina Giovanni. 2730 State Rd 16.

I loved my pasta with oil, garlic, artichoke and sun dried tomato.

My most recent trip was with my sweetheart, but I have been coming here since the 90s. It never grows old. They seem to keep expanding. Each little addition gives another excuse to return. The schoolhouse and the Old Jail seem to appeal to everyone, but there is so much more! If you see a rabbit hole, go down it - you will love what you find on the other side!!
While you are there, please make sure you stop by the Greek Orthodox center and learn something new. There is nothing to say other than it is beautifully amazing!

A must see in Florida. Families will like all of the shops that are geared to families. The displays are educational and fun. Food and spirits abound for the adults in a quaint historic little town.

Lots of nice shops, bars and restaurants. Don' t miss "The Gifted Cork" a wine shop with lots of other small and unusual but fun items. Also check out the Greek Orthodox center. It is beautiful and interesting.
