We stayed at the St. George Inn in February. The location was fine with us because we don't mind walking. It is located across from the city gates on one end of St. George St. It is located near shops and restaurants. The staff was nice, the room was decorated nicely and clean and the breakfast was good. It is right in the middle of the activity so things don't settle down until later at night. We will stay here on our next visit.

Since this hotel is located on St. George St, you can walk to tons of historic sites and restaurants. The Castilo San de Marcos is located directly across the street from the inn. The inn is clean and comfortable but the most important benefit about this inn is the location. We found all the employees to be helpful and courteous during our stay. We definitely plan on staying here again.

Room Tip: We loved sitting on the balcony overlooking Castillo San de Marcos at sunset.

The location is great to be able to come and go during the day. The parking garage is just a short distance away, be aware that the garage gets very busy during the weekends. I was confused about parking on the yellow line, thought they were curb side, but are really an area between two streets in front of the building. The staff was very friendly and quick to help with the luggage and get you off the street and to the parking garage. My only real complaint about the Inn was that with tiled floors, the person above us walked around a lot with heeled shoes which clicked on the floor. Very friendly staff and offered ideas on where to eat. Nice continental breakfast to get you going with seating outside in the courtyard. Great coffee shop in the courtyard shops. Staff printed boarding passes which is nice. Wireless worked well.

St Augustine was a great place for a visit. The Fort, Flagler College, museums, etc were a lot of fun. Be sure to go to the college and do the 10:00 or 2:00 tours, they really are informative. St George street is the main shopping area and busy during the day but weekdays are deserted by 9pm. Friday and Saturday though the college kids, weekend visitors, etc keep it going later. Most bars have some sort of live entertainment most nights of the week, a real nice plus. When ordering food, a lot of the recipes use the local Datil pepper which is very spicy. If you don't like spicy foods, watch to see if this is listed.

Room Tip: Facing St George street can get noisy on weekends at night.

This hotel is perfectly located to explore St Augustine, being at the edge of the Old Town and across the road from the fort. It was close to all the sights and many restaurants and bars. The staff are delightful - so friendly and helpful and such fun to talk to. The room was lovely - spacious, with lovely decor, and well equipped, and spotlessly clean. Breakfast OK with lot of choice - the only downside is that the tables are all outside which is not so good in the winter, They have outside heaters but it was still cold!!! This would be no issue in summer as the courtyard area is very pretty and would be a nice place for breakfast.

Wonderful experience. This place is right in the historic district of St Augustine and directly across the street from Fort Castillo De San Marcos. You can walk to almost every attraction that you would want to see in the city. The staff was wonderful and the accommodations which are all above ground level commercial establishments are extremely nice. The staff provided for any need we had during our stay. The St George Inn is a must stay when visiting in St Augustine. We will return.
