We stayed just one night and the staff was wonderful and accomodating from check in to check out. The location was great, right in the heart of everything you want to get to in St. Augustine. I was surprised of how large the property actually was compared to the B & Bs in the area. The complimentary breakfast was alright, but there are other places surrounding to go for a morning meal. The room was surprisingly large and very comfortable. I would stay here again.

We stayed at St. George Inn 6/28-30 and LOVED it! We are a family of 5 and chose the Castillo Ste., we had room #42., it was perfect! We had 2 balconies, the front faced the fort and the back faced the old school house. Everyone is so nice and helpful. We met the family "next door" and it was the owner's brother and they were very nice as well - great company! The location was ideal for our family, we never needed our car. The restaurants in the area are great. The first night we ate at a little burger place next door - Cruisers (I believe), we ate at a Mexican restaurant across the street - Acapulco (?) which was very good and then we ate at Harry's Seafood a block or so away which was also very good. We did Sheriff's Ghost Tour while there which was fun for our kids. Saturday nights can be a bit loud, there is a bar next door with live music but it never bothered us (there are other rooms that aren't as close as we were that I'm sure are quieter). Sunday nights, everything closed by 9 so it was very quiet. All in all, this was a great short vacation, our 9 year old says it's one of her favorite places. If you're looking for a nice place to stay definitely check out St. George Inn.

While planning our family trip, we called St. George Inn first. We were very happy with the customer service we received and it made us excited to visit. While there, the whole staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean and the view from our window was beautiful. Great location with so much in walking distance. My family plans to return and will stay here again.

This is our second trip to the Inn. This time we took our 2 granddaughters there first time to see St Augustine. We wanted them to experience a quaint inn and this one was loved by both of them. Ages 14. 16. There mom said they haven't stopped talking about there room and the trip. Irving and his staff could not be any better. They treat you like family. The room we had this time was a suite perfect for us. Never stayed anyplace that is kept so clean. Breakfast in the morning was high light for the girls loved eating in court yard. If your going to st Augustine this Inn is a MUST. The real plus is location to trolley and St George St. You will never be treated any better than you are here.

We stayed here with our two year old daughter for our birthdays. We were in a santa maria room and it was amazing. However our porch neighbors really enjoyed smoking, all the time. So we were at the office for breakfast and just asked if they knew when they were checking out. Instead of just telling us they upgraded us to a suite to make sure we enjoyed our stay. They helped with our luggage which was a lot since we had our daughter with us as well. The views were amazing, the service was even better. Could not have asked for a better experience and the location just puts everything within walking distance. I have stayed at other bed and breakfasts and they were good, but St George blows them away with their commitment to service and customer experience. Please, do yourself a favor and stay here.

Room Tip: The Santa Maria is the mid-range room and it was gorgeous, we were upgraded to a Castillo Suite, min...

We stayed here last week and loved the St. George Inn! Our Santa Maria room was perfect and the views were lovely - just step through the french doors to the sight of the city gates and a view of the fort and bay at the end of the balcony. We also enjoyed the table and chairs just outside the front door of our room for people-watching in the shopping area below.
The staff here were wonderful and obviously care about their guests! A couple of things that we really appreciated:
1) A well-done, attractive breakfast display with not only the usual offerings, but also savory items such as ham, salami, and cheese for those of us like myself who don't care for breakfast food. There were also pretty trays to make it easier to carry your breakfast back to your room - very thoughtful!
2) A wicker basket of clean linen and toiletries left at our door since we had the 'privacy please' notice on the door - again, very thoughtful.
We look forward to visiting this beautiful city again soon and will most definitely stay at St. George Inn!

We booked a room through Expedia the day before arrival so it was all very last minute. We had not been to St. Augustine before and were driving down from Savannah. This was the perfect place for first time visitors, in my personal opinion. I rang up to ask about their parking and spoke to Dean who explained that if I stopped in the yellow lines in front of the hotel he would come out to get our luggage and give us a pass for the Public Parking lot which is just a few steps away. Check-In was a breeze and we were upgraded to a lovely room with an outside terrace. The room was lovely, very spacious and clean. The hotel is very well located, very close to San Marcos Castle and the historic Old City. Breakfast was lovely in the outside courtyard facing a lovely fountain whilst eating your croissants and drinking coffee and watching the squirrels playing was a welcome bonus! This is a lovely hotel with helpful and friendly staff and I would definitely come back for another visit!
