“What a wonderful place to stat”
Reviewed 29 November 2011

This was our third visit to the Inn, and this time we took friends. We love this place as not only is it in a perfect location, with great ameneties and staff, but we are able to bring our dog with us. We usually have a room but this time as there were four of us we had a suite. As usual everything was up to standard and we had a wonderful time. The breakfast has vastly improved since our last stay too. Would recommend this "inn" to anyone visitng the area.

Room Tip: We have stayed in Room 17 and Suite 27 - both are excellent. Rooms at the front are slightly quiete...

We got married on 11/11/11 next door to the Inn at the Kingfish Grill Harborview room. It was an amazing venue, with a wonderful coordinator. The coordinator, Donna, recommended we stay at the Camachee Inn since its literally next door. I booked on her recommendation alone, having never seen the place. I booked the biggest room, room 25, and it was amazing! It was an apartment!! It was huge! Full living room, full dining room, full kitchen that is fully stocked with dishes, and even an oven!! There is a HUGE, huge closet so put anything in, which was great since we had so much wedding stuff. The bedroom was very large, perfect for getting a huge wedding gown on, and the property is so beautiful for the wedding pictures that followed. Even if you aren't getting married, I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The pictures online do NOT do it justice. Its actually so very nice, clean, and quiet. And the daily breakfast next door at Fish Tales is really a treat!! :) If you want a little extra room, and you don't want to fight with downtown traffic, while still being close to everything stay here!! And eat at the Kingfish Grill!! I ate there the day before the wedding, the day of the wedding, and the day after the wedding, because the food is honestly THAT spectacular!! :D

I have to admit I was looking for a more conventional Bed and Breakfast. The hotel is right on the Harbor outside of St. Augustine. It was nice to get up in the morning and look at the boats outside your room. Our room had a nice size Jacuzzi right next to the bed and was well appointed. The hotel does need some updating though. You pretty much have to take a cab into the town, I guess on a nice day you could walk, but it's not real close. The "Breakfast" part of the package deal was interesting. You rec'd. a coupon for a little store right next to the hotel. When looking inside I was a little concerned. But after ordering breakfast I was pleasantly surprised. A new owner had recently purchased the store and he was in the process of moving down from up north. Breakfast was fresh and very good.

We are glad that you enjoyed one of our two jacuzzi rooms at our Inn. While we advertise a free continental breakfast next door through Fish Tales Market, we are not a part of the Historic B&Bs of St. Augustine. We are more like a boutique hotel, where every room is unique in decor, but each has its personal charm and intimacy. We are located about 2 miles away from the Historic District, and besides a taxi, our guests are able to purchase a trolley ticket that will allow a shuttle to pick them up for a total of three days. Our guests appreciate our closeness to the downtown area while being able to stay away from the crowds in a beautiful marina setting. We thank you for taking the time to write us a review and we hope to serve you again in the future!

An accidental find. Friend of a friend, who had a friend, who knew someone etc. We ended up in room 20, upstairs on the corner overlooking the marina. If you a yachtie or want to be, when you grow up, this is perfect. The room looks out of the marina and you can watch the hundreds of boats bobbing at the dock. To my mind the service was perfect. We never saw or spoke with anyone because everything we needed was taken care of without having to ask for it. There is a busy road to the front but in the suite you couldn't hear it at all. Can't beat it with a stick.

Room Tip: Corner room upstairs, best balcony, best view rm 20

My husband and I chose the Inn at Camachee Bay to be our hideaway for our 29th Wedding Anniversary, Nov 2011 and just loved it. We chose Room 19, the quaint room at the end of the hall on the main floor with it's own balcony looking out at the marina. The weather was rainy and a bit chilly but that was ok. This room had everything we wanted & needed for our special weekend away from the hustle and bustle of life.

The staff at the front desk was so helpful and accommodating and the breakfast at the cafe was excellent.

Thanks for making our weekend so special, we will return again I guarantee it.

Trip Advisor reviews steered me right into the Inn at Camachee Harbor. Most of us seem to want something a bit different and if you reserve the right room (27 or 28 in our case) you have quite an enjoyable experience. Camachee is tucked into a marina off a left-turn lane just before going over the Vilano Beach Bridge. Perfectly located to take advantage of St. Augustine or driving north to Ponte Vedra and up to Jacksonville. But who would want to leave when there's so much to see locally.

Basics: The rooms have both a screened porch in front and an open deck with table and chairs off the sliding glass doors of the living room/kitchenette area. This is separated by a bathroom halfway area to the bedroom which is in the back of the unit and the quieter side.

The staff provides vouchers for breakfast across the parking lot at a small but very satisfying restaurant with friendly staff.

Can't think of anything negative to say except perhaps that the property could use a little sprucing up with screen doors and a bit of paint. But it's really ideal for getting to the history and charm of St. Augustine and all the great fishing and boating right at your door.

Room Tip: Check the online visuals to the rooms to find the right view and reserve the room by number.

This was a beautiful place to stay out of the way on the harbor. Got a nice little breakfast next door. Everything was clean and we slept 3 easily with the queen beds. Nice little patio with a garden and everyone was so nice. Have a shuttle that takes you to the trolley it's not far to drive though at the end of the road. They have packages for sites you can get cheaper than buying them there. It was a great experience and I'll stay there again.

Room Tip: We stayed in 16 but you couldn't see the boats but you could walk out and see them and it was ea...
