Stopped in for a quick lunch. An attractive young redhead made us Reuben's that were loaded with meat and tasty and the price was right. Sandwiches came with pickles and bagged chips. I wish I could have had time for one or more of the drafts on tap. Cool bar area.

We just loved this place. We sat outside for a drink or two with another couple we had met at our hotel. The prices are reasonable; they gave quite a discount for veterans, firemen, teachers, etc. on the night we were there. Just a fun, relaxing atmosphere!

It was the middle of the day and the place was not busy, but the staff appeared disinterested. We just had one beer and left.

Decided to stop by here for lunch with my husband and two kids. We arrived on a Sunday, right at noon (they open at noon on Sundays; the rest of the week they open at 11), and the place was already busy! The interior is very small, but charming: there are about 5 booths, 1 table with 4 bar stools, and of course, the bar itself.

Ann O'Malley's does not serve soup on Sundays because of the Sunday special, which is the Beef on Weck. My husband ordered this, and he loved it. The meals are served with chips--and when they say chips, they mean potato chips. French fries are not served, which kind of surprised me. I ordered a ham and cheese sandwich, and it was huge! They are very generous with the amount of deli meat on the sandwiches, and it was both fresh and tasty. My sons split a hot dog (the restaurant is flexible about splitting meals), and they seemed to enjoy it. The food took awhile to get to our table, which was surprising since we really only ordered sandwiches, but since the place filled up quickly, they probably got overwhelmed at first.

Overall, our total was just over $30, reasonable given the area. It is located directly across from Castillo de San Marcos and lots of shops, so it's a great stop if you're checking out the downtown area. You will also appreciate that smoking is not permitted in Ann O'Malley's. This is great given the small size of the restaurant. We will definitely return!

Friendly folks who know how to pour a Guinness. Perfect spot to have a beer while you are waiting on a cab.
