We have been there a couple of times. There are better places in Saint Augustine. It had run down since opening. The food is poor and overpriced. The service was very bad. We had to go asking to get waited on. The staff would ignore us.

When you walk in this place it just captured you in all senses. The wood smell the awesome bar and great drinks. Stop in for a drink! And you will see what I mean.

We decided to try lunch at the Bull & Crown today while in the area. St. George Street was not busy, as it was a Tuesday, quite a change from the norm. We were told the menu was new. It consisted of mostly sandwiches. I had the ham & cheese and My husband the meatloaf sandwich. Both were served on pretzel type bread with chips or fries for $1.00 more. The lemonade was Minute Maid, I was told by the waiter and the beer was cold! We frequent St. Augustine and have been to a variety of restaurants. The sandwiches were very good and the service fast and friendly. There was nothing "British" about it. It was not busy, we had our pick of a table outside. We would say for a nice sandwich, it's good.

While walking down St. George St. looking for the sister restaurant we met Gregory who graciously took us on a tour thru the Bull and Crown to the newly renamed Taverna Caballo. It was very informative and a lovely walk. Thank to his charm, we will be back with friends.

We loved happy hour at this unique little place. The atmosphere was pleasant for happy hour but personally we didn't think it was big enough for dinner. They had a live re-enactment for dinner with an all inclusive price...if you are interested in that it would be a great place for you.
