Lots of choices. All 4 of us tried something different for lunch, everyone enjoyed their meal. The waiter, James, was very friendly! I will go again when I come back to the area. The Sunday brunch sounds wonderful.

The Reef is OK for lunch but we ate dinner here last night and it was terrible. The kitchen was behind 20 minutes when we arrived and the place was not even half full. The artichoke dip appetizer was good. We ordered the seafood trio for $26 ( 1 scallop, four small shrimp, and a tiny piece of fish, no salad, wilted brown broccoli, and so so fries) THIS IS ON THE OCEAN, we live in a town with incredible fresh seafood every where................and the Filet Mignon $25 ( the meat was good but I had to send it back because I ordered it medium and it came rare, wilted brown broccoli, and mashed potatoes, again no salad) the bread came as we finished our meal. We have been here before and loved it. Our server was good but overall it was VERY slow considering by the time received our meals the restaurant was almost empty.

This is worth a visit for an upscale restaurant with a view. Depending on what you order the food can be a 6 to a 10. Personal taste is always the order of the day.

Pros- direct oceanfront with gorgeous view. Atmosphere is nice in the bar and main dining room. Service was excellent. Mussels were tasty and plentiful.
Cons- this is a tough one. Food wasn't bad, just not as good as we were expecting. It had been many years since we had dined here and decided to give it a try. The seafood chowder and crawfish étouffée were good, but there was a significant layer of grease floating on the étouffée. The flavor was good, but the grease was a bit unappetizing. I ordered mussels and they were fairly large and flavorful. My husband ordered the seafood trio- grilled Mahi (dolphin), jumbo shrimp and scallops. He was served a small piece of fish, three small shrimp and one scallop. The flavor was ok, but very disappointed in the portion, especially the size of the shrimp - definitely not jumbo. Fortunately there were enough mussels to share, otherwise my husband would have still been hungry. Doubtful if we would return for a meal, but maybe drinks and appetizers in the bar just to enjoy the view.

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived for our reservation that we had eaten lunch at this restaurant around 1998. We were promptly and ordered a bottle of one of my favorite Spanish Rioja Wines and several appetizers which had a true Spanish taste. We ordered seafood for our main course and were very happy that we did. The preparations were excellent. I then discovered that the Chef had lived and worked in Spain for 15 years and is a very interesting and competent person. The ding room staff were excellent and we were dining on the beach. This restaurant is a must try. Outstanding preparations at reasonable prices. We will return this year to the Reef for another wonderful dining experience.
