“Great friends weekend get away!”
Reviewed 29 July 2013

My husband and I and our close friends stayed here this past weekend. It was an all adult weekend without our kiddos! A time for rest and relaxation.... adult style!

What a wonderful stay we had with Tim and John. These two are very welcoming and accommodating. I felt like we were staying with relatives.... the non-interfering type. :-)

We stayed in the Dr. Livingston room and made use of the ourdoor porch to have a few adult beverages and laugh with our friends. The room was cozy and perfect!

Breakfast was great each day. I loved the conversation with the other couples. My only recommendation is that there always be "meat" of some type along with the breakfast items. Bacon or sausage would have been a great addition to the meals.

Each day, we toured the downtown area on foot. Everything was so close and within walking distance. After an evening out, we ended with coooling off under the ceiling fan in the common area and laughing with our friends. This lead to me relaxing on the couch and then quickly drifting away in slumber. The house is so comfortable, that I would fall asleep in the common area!

I highly recommend this B & B if you are looking for a place to stay that is not a hotel. You will not be disappointed.

My wife and I had the distinct pleasure of revisiting this wonderful B&B two weeks ago. The innkeepers, Tim and John, made our stay as enjoyable this time as it was a year ago. Tim's breakfast creations are the best I've ever had in a B&B. There was a lot of rain, however there are umbrellas available to use if you've forgotten yours. The Dr. Livingston room -African motif- has a porch where smoking is allowed. It's location is just a couple of blocks from old town, where Tim's restaurant suggestions were again spot on. There are always cold soft drinks, beer and wine available to enjoy with their chocolates and fresh cookies. When Tim learned we would be missing breakfast due to an early appointment, he asked if there were other guests who were early risers and actually made breakfast twice to accommodate us.
Although we were visiting Palm Coast, about a 20 minute drive, it was worth the trip to stay here for the three nights we were visiting. We will be down in Palm Coast again in a few weeks and plan to enjoy their hospitality once again.

I had a really nice time there. It was very quiet and EXTREMELY cozy! Tim and Laura were very helpful in showing me the great places to visit while I was there as well. The location was very close to the wedding location I was in town for, so that was great. Definitely would go back!

A very nice B & B right in the centre of USA's oldest town! This place is exactly what a B & B should be! Great hosts (Tim & Laura, again many thanks!), great house with a lovely room and above all a family atmosphere.
Everything on walking distance (we could leave the car at the parking behind the B & B) but a very quiet place.

Breakfast with other travellers was great, just to share your background and travel adventures!
Tim is a excellent cook and we really enjoyed his desert after the 4th of July fireworks,

A true trip advice to everyone.

Room Tip: We have not seen all rooms but liked our Amelia Earhart room very much (back side, quiet, good A/C)

Although there was a lot of rain, the trip was amazing and the service was outstanding. The room was clean and extremely comfortable. The staff was very accommodating to our needs. Whenever we had questions about activities in the area, the hosts were informative and able to get us the information we needed. Overall it was a very pleasant trip.

Our first experience at a B & B and what a great choice. Very nice location and one of the few that has a room that will allow pets. The breakfast and service was awesome. I would definitely recommend this B & B and hope to go back soon.

This is a high end B&B located ideally being it is on a tiny ally-like one way street making it quiet, but also within a block or two of the heart of St. Augustine's historic district. Thus you get the best of convenience and apparent solitude rolled into one place.

The physical layout is two buildings separated by ample off street and out of sight parking. The first building is the main house with the kitchen and most of the rooms plus the common areas. This building also has, to the east, a wonderful patio garden where some guests spend the later afternoon having some drinks (alcoholic and not) at an informal get together.

Moving south from the main house, there is a carriage house with storage on the first floor and two apartments on the second. One apartment is for the owners, and one for guests. We stayed in this second apartment which consists of a living sort of area with couch and chairs, a kitchenette, a bedroom complete with a bed roughly the size of Grand Bahama Island and a larger than usual full bathroom. Everything about the room, based on our appraisal, was perfect excepting that when we arrived the housekeeper used some sort of device to infuse the air with perfume. We removed that from the outlet and asked the housekeeper not to use it again. She complied with our wishes.

We have no idea why the place used this device as there was no underlying unpleasant odor anywhere in our rooms or the B&B in general. The rooms were spotless.

The breakfasts were complex. My wife is a vegan so has a bit of a do finding food she can enjoy but the owners, when advised of this, graciously accommodated her dietary preferences. I found the breakfasts to be much more creative than I've come to expect from most B&B's which tend to play to the easy-to-prepare common denominator. No such shortcuts here.

Overall a pleasant stay with no hitches of any kind. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: If you have any dietary needs, be sure to make Tim or John aware of them They are clearly desirous o...
