This was a very good location to leave your car in the garage and walk St. Augustine. Staff were very friendly. Room was nice, but we were above the laundry and the unbalanced washer/dryer made our room floor vibrate.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not above the laundry.

We recently booked a room at this location to attend the wedding of a close family friend. We requested early checki-in at booking (two months prior) and were assured it would not be a problem. After driving for 5 hours, we really wanted to check into our room and relax and get refreshed before the wedding later in the afternoon. When we arrived at 1PM, our room was not available and we were told it would not be available until 4PM! We were livid, to say the least! The wedding started at 6PM, so that left us hanging out at a nearby strip mall for three hours in the hot Florida heat and not much time to get ready when we did finally get our room. The furnishings were not impressive either and this is supposed to be a new property. We never stay at Hilton anymore because they are a complete ripoff!!! We only booked because our friend had reserved a block of rooms for the wedding guests. No more HILTON or any brand associated with them ever again!!!! They do not deliver on their guarantee of 100% satisfaction!!! It's more like "no satisfaction" in recent years. This chain is really going down the tubes fast!!! There are better brands nearby which come highly recommended! Next time we will book elsewhere.

Dear Alrae 33,

Thank you for taking the time to express your views of our property. We apologize that your room was not available at the time of your arrival. Our normal check in time is at 3pm, however we try to honor as many requests as possible for early checkin. Depending on the day and the number of rooms available it sometimes becomes a challenge to get everyone in early. We occassionally have issues with rooms not departing as planned and this delays housekeeping. We value you as a guest and hope that you will have a change of heart and give us a second chance.

Patti McRoberts, Assistant General Manager

Hotel staff was nice and helpful, however the hotel is subpar...especially for a Hilton. The original room we had was on the first floor just off the main road. It had a nice view, but when people walked by the room on the sidewalk, we could hear their conversations. That, combined with multiple Harley's would make for a long noisy night. We switched to a room that was a little more quiet. Hotel was old, yes it is historic and all, just pretty bland and dated. Great location but thats about it.

By far the worst exprience with any hotel i've ever stayed at. I booked this room with my hilton points for my wedding night (75,000 points) and requested a balcony room which costed an extra $50. i asked for an early check in which they could not promise. when i showed up at at 3pm the normal check in time i was told it would be another hour before i could check in. with my wedding starting at 5 pm after venting for a bit i ended up getting ready for my wedding at my friends hotel room. i ended up just asking for the points and money back, never got a response from the hotel management. when i called the diamond line they couldn't help. i've since stopped using hilton properites. if you are traveling to st augutine and would like to stay at a nice property i would suggest the Casa Monica.

I recently stayed at the Hilton St. Augustine. I could not have asked for a better location. We parked the car with the valet and never moved it until check out. Check in was quick, polite and professional. The valet was most helpful in directing us to local attractions (trolly tour), dining and shops. We stayed in a king bed room and it was very clean and comfortable for 2 adults. The bathroom had all necessary ammenities. There was a safe in the room to store valuables. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of fruits, eggs and bread. On my next trip to St. Augustine I will be staying at the Hilton. Frank Shea: fshea@alphagp.com
