“Most romantic weekend Getaway.”
Reviewed 15 June 2009

My husband took me away this past weekend for a surprise birthday getaway. By the look of the bed and breakfast it seems pretty simple and when you step in the room you get completely blown away. If you love antique homes and appreciate the more romantic decor this is the place for you. They set up flowers, breakfast in bed, jacuzzi tub, carriage rides and so much more. I feel the price is well worth the stay and my husband did a great job researching around. With all the bed and breakfasts around Saint Augustine it is hard to choose the best one but I truly feel he did with this one. We walked around the town and saw all the other ones and none compared to the Marin House.

we have stayed here numerous times & we prefer this inn & their Sister inn ,next door -the rooms are always clean & nicely appointed, the staff is friendly ,& we always enjoy the breakfast in bed feature. We renewed our vows in June 2008 & stayed here for several days prior to & after. I brought my parents with me & my little boy this time, My father was leary of staying ,this being his first time in a B& B, but he was happily surprised & enjoyed his stay . we made the mistake of trying another B&B on one occasion & will not make that mistake again . we are looking forward to returning this year ! the only negative was the city changing to metered parking overnight ,forceing every one to have to move cars.I just wish we got some kind of freaquent traveler points or something :)

Although we arrived in storm and heavy rain - the skies cleared when we entered this gem of a B&B! Ever so friendly staff, nice detailed rooms and a terriffic breakfast! Complimentary afternoon wine/beer and cake was highly appreciated and the only thing to complain about was the fact that we couldn't sit outside on the porch to enjoy that - it poured down!
Would go back any time!

There's something magical about Bayfront Marin House, whose pace and slow deliberate way of life is as calming and consistent as the rolling winds
that form the oceans that surround; where the visible water front view
, and the amazing, helpful staff makes my stay more then just a weekend
get away. I stayed at the Forrester Suite, a beautiful Victorian room
on the second floor with a huge jacuzzi and a large porch right outside.
The staff helped arrange dinner reservations and give thoughtful tips
about strolling around the old town. They went out of their way to make
sure all my needs were met and more! And each night I returned to evening desserts being served with a glass of wine and sat in the gazebo overlooking the bay while the sun set.Leaving the Bayfront Marin House was very hard to do!

We spent a long time researching to find the best Bed and Breakfast in St.
Augustine for our honeymoon week, and I am sure we found it! The Bayfront Marin House was everything we were hoping it would be, and more! Our honeymoon getaway was spent in the Coquina Suite and it was perfect...big jacuzzi tub, electric fireplace, pillow bed, romantic setting... We went during the week to save money, and used the extra to splurge on packages and romantic evenings.
The innkeeper set up a honeymoon package for us with champagne, chocolate dipped strawberries, roses, rose petals spread around the room, candles and tickets for a carriage ride and a sunset cruise. We so enjoyed the champagne and chocolate strawberries the first night that we ordered it again for our last night! We also enjoyed the deluxe breakfast in bed with mimosas to toast our first morning as husband and wife. While we were there found out that they perform weddings in their gazebo, which was a beautiful setting. Had we known, we would have skipped the courthouse and had our ceremony at the Marin House.
We spoke with the owner about maybe renewing our vows there next year and staying for our anniversary!

We loved our week at the Inn. The breakfasts were filling and tasty and the bicycles were a blast to go on right before the sunset as a relaxing activity. The other guests were very personable and would socialize with us when we sat outside. The owners/staff went out of their way to help me set up our secret engagement horse ride. Would highly recommend and return!!!
