“Nice Condo, Not so nice housekeeping”

The condo was nicely decorated, spacious and in the best location. The only problem was the housekeeping. Floor not swept. The master bedroom sheets was not clean(found hair) and the extra pillow in the closet was nasty. The master bathroom toilet was also dirty so we had to clean it again. The other room had sheets that looked like it had old stains. So they probably should throw them out and get new ones because even if they are clean they still have old stains and that doesn't look good. I contacted the manager and she got right on it and told housekeeping to come. I asked that ALL the sheets be changed, just to be on the safe side. Housekeeping did only the Master. I called the front desk to ask again for them to come back and change the other sheets they said they would contact housekeeping to come back. Housekeeping never came back so we had to wash our sheets that night. That took a lot of back and forth and if your on vacation you don't want to deal with that.

“Perfect for Family Vacation!”
Reviewed 29 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

This is the first time we rented a condo for a family vacation (my husband, 2 young daughters, and my parents), so I kept my expectations low. How many times have you booked a hotel room based on pictures and found a less-than-wonderful room once you actually checked in? I just didn't want to be disappointed.

We walked in the door, and I did the "Booking.Com", arms-in-the-air victory cry when we saw it. Well-decorated, plenty of space for the 6 of us, and great sleeping accommodations for our family. Nice firm beds for the adults. The girls had fun sleeping in their beds (note that the 3rd bedroom is office-spaced, so the 2 beds are small; but they are 5 and 2 years old, so they didn't need much anyway). Plenty of kitchen items to work with. Clean and updated bathrooms. Big living room with sectional couch. Nice flat screen TV's in the living room and master bedroom. Table on the balcony that seats 6 easily.

We were able to watch the sun rise over the ocean from the living room and balcony each morning. Easy walk across the property's boardwalk to the beach. Clean, spacious outdoor pool in the center of the property. Small playground for little children. Beautiful tennis courts. The list goes on an on.

The only real downsides are the dim lighting and lack of toaster and blender. I don't mind the ice maker in the fridge not working - we've gone years without that. But these pale in comparison to what you get for the price when you consider that we had 6 people staying comfortably there. As for the complex itself, quiet time is supposed to start at 11 PM, and our last night there were some loud people at 1:30 AM. But that was a Friday night, and it was the only night it happened, so that may not be routine.

Suggestions for restaurants: Oasis had great fresh fish for dinner and awesome eggs and biscuits for breakfast - all reasonably priced, and only a mile's walk north from the condo. South Beach Grill is a short drive south of the condo (right below FL206), and they also had amazing seafood and were super kid-friendly. If you are looking for an adult-beverage experience in St. Augustine itself, the A1A Ale House right across the bridge was awesome with great service. And we also ate at Gas, which has been featured on The Cooking Channel - super yummy and also kid-friendly.

St. Augustine and Anastasia Island are well-kept secrets. For the third week of June, it wasn't busy at all and super relaxing. We expect to go back, and we hope that when it is time to schedule our vacation, we'll be able to get this exact condo again.

“Beachy' Eclectic Decor....BEAUTIFUL UNIT, GREAT VIEW!”
Reviewed 15 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Was a little hesitant about this place due to it still being available only 4 days before we were to leave during peak season...why wasn't anyone renting it? What's the catch? Although it was a bit pricey for us, our previous condo company cancelled on us at the very last minute so we really didn't have a choice. Very few 3BR condos left in the area so we booked it. Well, Hallelujah!! This was serendipitous!

It's on the back end of the U shaped complex facing the ocean, but don't let mislead you into thinking your view will be bad. It was lovely!! Actually we walked out to the large balcony and my son turned around and hugged me out of joy. It's on the 3rd floor and looks out onto the grassy area which a dozen or so kids played baseball in the evenings when they had enough of the water. (bring your lawn toys/gear!) There is no obstruction of your ocean view here. It's just perfect. I'd say from your door, across the boardwalk onto the sand is a 5-7 min walk. (I'm bringing a beach dolly next year!)

The condo itself was fun. Cool jeweled light fixture, calming blue walls, cushy leather sofa. (NOT a pull out in case your are wondering) New, trendy tile throughout the entire place. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed EXCEPT A BLENDER and NO WORKING ICE MAKER. I will say a DOWNSIDE to this condo is the lack of lighting. Not sure why they chose such dim lighting especially for the bathrooms. I was tempted to change out the bulbs myself because my teen girls and I had such a hard time with it in the mornings. Might want to bring a little makeup lamp for the master bathroom...seriously....you'll thank me later. The Family room is also dimly lit at night.

The washer and dryer is apt size stack-able type so 4 towels will fit and that's about it. I just kept it going w/ our family of 6 throughout the days and it was fine. Also, remember the condo doesn't supply detergents or toilet paper. No loaner pool or beach equipment either.

Another thing to note is that it's NOT really 3 FULL BEDROOMS. The 3rd "bedroom" is a room to the left of the front door, more like an 8x8 cubby, with 2 twin mattresses on platforms in and L position filling up the entire space w/ a locked closet in there too. The full carpeted space is maybe 2X3 feet. There is no furniture in it and no room for suitcases to be placed on the floor or anywhere...well, maybe one carry on size. My boys 9 and 11 LOVED this room!! So, if you have kids, this is like a little clubhouse for them!!! If you have big adults, they might feel a little claustrophobic. The 2nd BR has a twin and a double (maybe queen?)...nice to have the extra sleeping space.

The complex itself was very nice and well maintained....I have noise issues and the pool motor was a bit loud. I asked the pool guy the first morning why it was so loud and he said the sand chokes the motor. Too bad not everyone washes off before dipping into the pool...makes for a noisy motor to listen to instead of the waves as you sip your coffee on your deck.

WiFi wasn't a problem at all. I have Verizon and my hubby has AT&T. We needed help getting the t.v. to turn on and the maintenance guy phoned us and walked my hubby through the remote keys to get it working. No problem.

The drive to the historic district was easy. 15 min. There is an intersection w/ Target, Walmart, Ross, Marshalls 10 min away. Your very busy Publix is literally 3 min. down the street. (I timed it) There is also a Dollar Tree next to Publix and a Cold Stone Creamery.

They do allow tents on the beach but please don't set up your huge tent in front of someone like they don't care about their view. very inconsiderate.

Need a restaurant recommendation? Caps on the Water and Harry's will get you into a vacation mood quickly! (Caps is a bit $) Don't neglect the historic beauty of downtown St. Augustine...it's just a beautiful place to walk around full of cafe's and interesting shops, right on the water,

There are few places I'd return to just because my family always likes to explore new destinations...However, I see us returning to this exact same spot and condo at some point! I really loved it.
