My wife and I were driving back home from a Florida vacation and decided to check out the St. Augustine area for one day. We decided to stay at this Hampton Inn because it served our location needs, it was close to Old Town and closer to I-95 so we can just jump onto the highway when it was time to go back home. There was plenty of parking when we arrived. The front desk staff were polite and professional. The Lobby was clean. The room was also clean with a very comfortable bed and the A/C was fine. The bathroom was clean with plenty of towels and toiletries . The pool area was clean and water temperature good. The breakfast was good, there is something for everyone, fruits, cereal, eggs, sausage, bagels, coffee, tea etc. When it was time to leave I left behind one of my pieces of luggage and half way home I received a call on my cell phone advising me about my bag. They offered to ship it to my home address , which they promptly did. Check out was a breeze. My experience with hotel staff that I encountered was always pleasant. I highly recommend this Hampton Inn.

We stayed one night and I likely would not stay again. Front desk staff (evening and AM) were great. Room was average at best. AC was poor. Bed was hard. Just appeared to be a somewhat run down HI.

Room tip: Not a poor location to choose but not the best.

Dear Bigfoot42,

Thank you very much for taking the time to post a review about our hotel. We always appreciate any and all feedback that our guests offer. We use it as an opportunity for us to better our property and the experiences of our guests. It is very nice to hear that our staff treated you well. I am, though, disappointed that you didn’t enjoy sleeping in our beds, as they are Sealy mattresses. They are standard to every Hampton Hotel. Please consider when you are visiting St. Augustine, that you stay our hotel again. Our staff is there to make your stay exceed your expectations. We Love Having You Here!
Sincerely, Julia, AGM.

Hampton Inn is my choice of hotels because of its dependability for service and cleanliness, particularly with respect to a good, fresh bed. This one did not disappoint. I chose this one because of its proximity to both the historic area and two outlets, the Premium Outlets and St. Augustine Outlets (formerly Prime Outlets). Both outlets are within about one mile. The hotel sits at the confluence of County Road 208 and State Road 16. Exit from the hotel is onto the county road, and where it intersects with the state road, there is no left turn. This is aggravating when you want to make a left turn for the Premium Outlets. So you visit the other outlets first. The historic area is about 10 minutes away via State Road 16. Several restaurants are convenient to the hotel, including Cracker Barrel, Ruby Tuesday, Taco Bell and KFC.

Breakfast included an egg and cheese omelet, sausage patties, Activia yogurt, canned grapefruit/pineapple/oranges (not bad) and fresh bananas and apples. Although we checked out on a Saturday, breakfast-to-go was still available with a bag containing water, blueberry muffin, granola bar, apple and mints. We weren't there at six p.m. when the freshly baked cookies are usually available. Service was very friendly. Our total price of $107 was a bit steep for our budget, but it was only for one night and you get what you pay for.

Dear Karofl1,
WOW! What an awesome detailed review. My staff and I are truly thankful that you took your time to create such a detailed recap of your stay. Next time you visit I will personally explain to you a convenient shortcut to the Premium Outlet Mall. We really look forward to you staying with us in St. Augustine again. Hopefully we can save some of our delicious cookies for you. See you soon! Sincerely, Julia, AGM.

We stayed here on our way home to South Florida. This is a hotel that has had a face lift and the linens, lobby and floors are are all stylish and new, the rest has been updated. We had some issues with the toilet in our room and upon learning of the problem, the manager, Tony Thomas, resolved the issue to our satisfaction. We appreciated being treated fairly and would return there again solely because of that. Good breakfast and perfect location, directly across from a chain bar b q place and many many outlet malls - wish we could have sampled them but we wanted to get home.
