My husband and I stayed here last week (approximately July 18) had a great time...the room was very nice, didn't use the pool although it looked very nice. Had a walkway back to the beach..nice little walk..houses on both sides of the hotel...Affordable and what I really liked was they offered the Trolley pick up to take you to downtown St. Augustine...We probably will not stay in St. Augustine again, have been there several times but if you haven never gone make sure you do and take the trolley...and stay at the La Fiesta! We only had one complaint...the "free" breakfast in the morning was not good...at least the breakfast sausage sandwich was nt worth eating...it came in a basket to your room which was kinda ok...I prefer going to a room in a hotel and helping myself to their free breakfasts.

We booked a partial ocean view with double queen sized beds for a family of three. Our room was on the bottom floor, so we could barely see the ocean at all. I think if we would have an upper level room the ocean view would be better. From what I could tell once we got there, there are very few hotels right on the beach. It seemed to be mostly beach houses. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was okay, nothing amazing, but it was nice to have it brought to you every morning. The bath water pressure was low, but fine once you switched to shower. The bathroom vanity area was very small. The location of the hotel was great and the pool was really nice. The wifi worked great. We did get a small snake in our room and a lizard the next day. We think there was a small opening under the ac unit. We stuffed a towel under there and that seemed to do the trick. Poor snake couldn't get out the patio door because the tile was too slippery for him. The grounds were attractive and well kept . We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Room Tip: If you book partial ocean view, request upper level-217-219.

we stayed last week and the view was beautiful even with the rain. We have stayed here before and the reason we chose La Fiesta again was because of the great breakfast. Lets face it some of the hotel breakfast are awful... It was wonderful before but don't know what happened this time but it really was bad, the food was late and cold. So I guess we will rethink the next time we stay here.

Thank you for visiting us again at La Fiesta Ocean Inn. We have included complimentary delivered breakfast to the room for almost 10 years now and we are committed to using the highest quality ingredients and products. We use such brands as Yoplait, Smucker's, Barney's, etc and strive for delicious breakfasts delivered on time and warm pastries and cold fruit, juice etc. We would always be happy to replace any order that is not satisfactory and apologize for any disappointment in our award winning breakfast. We are sure that on a repeat visit you will see our continued quality.

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend. The hotel is nice--nothing fancy, but we knew that when we made the reservation. The best part is that the hotel is right on the beach. We had never been to St. Augustine before, and the beach is awesome--not too crowded and very clean.

You also get breakfast delivered to your room every morning. You have to choose what you want the night before. The hotel has a really nice pool if you get tired of the beach, and they provide towels for the pool as well. Overall, great find for the money during a busy time of the year.

One of those places when you pull up to arrival, you know you made a mistake. Their website looked great so we booked. Have been to St. Augustine Beach many times and wanted to try something new. Check in was delayed- rooms weren't ready. The breakfast they give you was not good. You get a choice of coffee or orange juice, but not both??? The food was so buttery and greasy that after the first night we asked them not to deliver and we went to Starbucks instead. The room air conditioners were extremely noisy- making all kinds of noises which made it impossible to sleep- they also didn't keep the room cool despite putting it on 68 degrees. Could hear all discussions next door. Couple next door started talking about taxes at 4am and continued this discussion for hours. Finally a couple of bugs in room- spider crawling on wall. The TV is about the size of my computer monitor - and didn't seem to be HD as could barely see the picture. Only positive is it is on the beach which is good but way better options- Hampton Inn and other chains. I recommend La Cocina restaurant down the street if your budget allows, it is an amazing restaurant inside the Castillo Real Hotel- which also looked nice but have not stayed there. I wasn't expecting the Ritz, but this was not good , and the guests there were mostly biker type of people. If you can get a room for about $100 and just want to stay on the beach, then this place is an option, otherwise not what I was expecting.

Thank you for selecting La Fiesta! We are glad you loved our location. Our TV's are all new Samsung 40 and 32 inch LED flat screen models which are specially made for hotels although we understand that some guests have larger sets at home. Guests tell us almost daily how lovely our Inn is and that it is even better than our website photos which our owner took himself and he has not experience at editing photos. Sorry you didn't enjoy your delivered to the room breakfast that offers many selections; most of our guests rave about it and our coffee. We have almost new air conditioners and spare ones on site should one become other than quiet we can change them right away, 24 hours a day when we are advised. We are always updating and improving La Fiesta, thanks for staying.

Arrived after an all day drive, easy check in, got keys and went to room - we needed to use the restroom so were rushing and were surprised to open the door and find men in our bathroom fixing our drain! They were very apologetic, it was just a miscommunication, but they were in the room about 15 minutes. Obviously we couldn't use our restroom, so I went down to the office and was directed to the bathroom at the pool. It was a single bathroom that had been used all day by wet swimmers so it wasn't the best experience in my dry traveling clothes.

Once the mix up was settled we went to bring in our luggage, we were on 2nd floor and there was no elevator. I was starting to feel some frustration. Once we got in my daughter wanted to lay in "her" bed (pull out couch). I went to pull it out and it was unmade. I called the office and was told I was expected to make it. We needed to shake out the mattress cover because it had some crumbs on it, and found sheets, etc. in the closet. With the bed out the room was crowded & there was a very small space to get by to get to the bathroom. I couldn't imagine staying in room for a long stay.

After all the fun of getting settled passed we were able to explore the property and things began to look up. The grounds are beautiful and the beach was amazing. The pool is in the middle of the parking lot, and the "pool view" our room had was parking lot, but we knew that from online pictures.

The hotel is about a 1.2 mile walk to the pier and there are some nice restaurants nearby. We had fun at the mini golf that was next door too. We went into the historic area of St. Augustine and it was a very easy drive. The breakfast that everyone mentions IS just as good as everyone says. The staff even calls you about 5 minutes before delivery to let you know it will be along soon. The items were delicious! Delicious!

Other reviewers mentioned water pressure troubles, and the pressure is poor. We were in room 207 and it was just a smidge more than a trickle. This is not an exaggeration.

There were a few minor hiccups, but we would stay here again. It is what it is - a beach hotel.

Room Tip: I'd ask for a ground floor room.
