Husband & Dad ate there while staying at Two Fish Inn (which we highly recommend - Clean & Friendly). They stopped in for breakfast on their way to Bob & Annie's boatyard. Dad had pancakes which he said were OK, but he's had better. Husband had 1 pancake & egg white omelet and had the same opinion. When I asked if we were going to eat lunch or breakfast there as well, without delay the answer was not to bother. Nothing wrong with the food, but not worth going back for, so we just made our own breakfast in the room and ate lunch at The Waterfront (so glad we did, I gave them excellent review - I suggest you go there instead).

The breakfast this morning @ Hobo's rocked. It's summer and the place was quiet and slow. The house special today was soft shell crab breakfast which was excellent. Service is always good and in winter the place is packed. If you are on the south end of SJC, give this place a try.

My husband and I live in St James City, so are some of the "locals" who go here for breakfast. If you like pancakes that are slightly crispy around the edge, very flavorful, and light in the middle, you should order them here. Portions are generous and prices are very reasonable. The cheese omelet is also very good as are the home fries. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

Enjoyed the buckwheat pancakes. Not something you find often. The place is a little old building frequented by locals who don't want to cook their own. Not fancy but the server was friendly and there were plenty of choices.
