“Awesome 20th wedding anniversary surprise!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 May 2014

We can not give you enough credit for how much we enjoyed the resort! May 16-19th, 2014. Room 1850-2 room executive suite, top floor in the middle. This was a surprise 20th wedding anniversary trip from my husband! We got the top floor honeymoon suite. It was amazing! We could see the whole resort and so much to see and hear! My fav thing about the resort was the live music all day long and waking up to steel drums every morning! I thought I was in heaven! There is NOT one thing this resort does not have! We could see it has been carefully thought out and meets every "want" you might want on vacation! Ocean front Restaurants, entertainment, 3 pools, beach chair rental, playground for kids, beach hammocks, tiki huts to eat under, fire pits and fire places, corn hole, banquet rooms, souvenir shop with lots of goodies, free towel service, waiter service around the pools, security (but not breathing down your throat), every single employee is there to serve with a smile and the best drinks we have ever had! We witnessed over 15 wedding in 3 days! These were all so beautiful and most out on the beach. It was quite exciting and did not make the resort to full at all. We ate and drank at all 3 restaurants and they were top notch! One night we walked out on the beach and hung a left....walked down towards the fish restaurant on the beach, and ended up at Bongos on the beach. It was a BLAST! We ate there 2 nights in a row! Our table was actually in the sand with tiki torches all around...so beautiful! Thank you Sirata for all of the fun! I am actually a travel agent, so it was hard for my husband to surprise me, but he could not have picked a better place! I will be sending friends and family your way and we hope to be back with our kids too!!! Thank you & God bless this resort, keep up the awesome work!

We stayed in a king suite in building 1 (beach view) and absolutely loved it. Corey, at the front desk, was extremely helpful in making sure the room was a perfect fit for us. The beach is amazing. The location of the resort is within walking distance to stores and plenty of restaurants. The grounds are very well maintained, rooms very clean and beach is pristine. We had an opportunity to look at a couple other rooms on the property and felt they were quite basic. Balconies are only available in certain rooms and can't be guaranteed in advance. Be aware also that some balcony rooms have a "Juliet" balcony which is a sliding glass door opening to a railing, which sits less than a foot away. As for drinks and food on the property; Harry's is a great beach side bar to have a drink and listen to live music after lounging on the beach. Drinks are pretty pricey for the small plastic cups they are served in. Great bartender though! Rum Runners beach front restaurant has great outdoor seating. Unfortunately after waiting 20 minutes (when the restaurant wasn't even full) the wait staff never came to take our order. So, we walked up to the bar to order our dinner. Food was typical bar style. Even considering the minor short-comings, we feel the rooms are priced appropriately. Overall, we were very happy with our stay, and even tried staying a couple more nights had our room been available.

Sirata is a long-time favorite of mine. The rooms are generally clean and well equipped. I frequently am upgraded...for free (yes there are some places that still do that). What I love most is the location and outdoor area. There are cool tiki huts with picnic tables, hammocks, 3 pools, jacuzzi's and I love the atmosphere at Harry's Bar. The music is great, the drinks are good and the beach is gorgeous. There are plenty of restaurant options. I love Thai Basil Kitchen for their sushi. It is also fun to hotel-bar hop. Pool rooms can be a bit noisy if you are a light sleeper.

This was our 9th return trip to the Sirata and it was a truly amazing vacation, again. Beautiful location with a very comfortable, relaxed and acceptable vibe for families and couples alike. Accommodations are clean and spacious, employees are accommodating and welcoming, entertainment and dining are steps way. Essentially this is the place too enjoy the location and be and do what you chose to do when you chose to do it, itinerary is yours to make up as you go because the choices are not limited. My idea of vacation is sun, sand, fun and no preset itinerary and this is my go to destination. We have sampled other accommodations on this beautiful stretch of beach and the Sirata is the only place we return to. Enjoy.

Room Tip: King suite always works for us, beautiful location and having the kitchen works well for us.

Spent 3 nights in a suite. It was perfectly adequate. The bed was comfortable. The room clean. But it needs updating. The layout is odd. Small bedroom, then hall with sinks, leading to living dining area, which is quite large, with fold out couch bed. I had trouble with the light fixture over the dining table, it just dropped from the ceiling and dangled for no apparent reason right when I was sitting for dinner, and I had to play around with the 2 burner electric stove to get it to work. I think it is the original unit from the 1980s. The bathroom sink was old and the material crazed around the drain. Wondered if it could really be clean. The balcony was a bit small but you could sit at it.
The new flat screen tvs helped.
I didn't eat at the restaurants, the prices were very reasonable for beachfront. Drink prices were resort priced.
The staff were extremely helpful, friendly, accommodating, and responsive. Maintenance were quick to respond. Housekeeping were quick and thorough, lots of towels, dish cloths and detergent provided, and they washed what dishes I didn't! I requested a few extra things and they were delivered in no time.
The beach is great, the cabanas and deck chairs could use a little maintenance, but the sunshine was beautiful. There were paddle boards and jet skis etc. for rent there or from lots of vendors up and down the beach. I haven't stayed at other St. Pete Beach hotels, so I can't compare. It was reasonable value and great location.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the water or courtyard. the alternative is parking lot or street. Higher up offere...

Couldn't have asked for better housekeeping. Allesa was great and she was very nice. The Sirata has plenty to do and the service is great. Will definately recommend this place to our friends and we will be coming back.

Thank you Sirata for another great stay. Accommodations, beach and staff are great. Shout out to Domonic at Rum Runners and Shawna for taking care of us during breakfast. This is our new favorite place. Well see you again in a few weeks.
