“Second Time Even Better”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 July 2014

This is my second stay at the Sirata. I didn't think it could get any better, but I was wrong. This is the best trained, nicest staff in the business. There for five days on business, I was completely satisfied with the room, the meeting facilities, and their outstanding banquet staff. Keep up the good work! Special thanks to Karen in banquets who even remembered my name from last year.

We have just arrived at Sirata hotel after booking this hotel in March. We have a group of 6 families traveling together and contacted the hotel directly to be in the same room vicinity. We put in a request back in March and the reservation specialist told us to call back in June to put in this request. I called back on June 2nd and gave a detailed request for the entire group. We had booked king studio rooms. Upon checking in we had one family in bldg 1, two families in bldg 3, and two families in building 4. The bldg 4 families were told they got an "upgrade" but I have to assume that this was because no one wants to be in our location --directly beside Harry's beach bar. We don't worry too much about noise but we haven't stayed the night yet. When a member of our group went to ask about our locations, he was told that we had to be moved around due to a group of cheerleaders that were coming that needed to be together. Talk about a terrible way to be treated...meaning that our requests did not seem to matter.

Dear Nikchat,
Thank you so much for your feedback. It is always our intentions to make sure all our guests have a great stay with us. Your group of families are very important to us. We apologize we failed to meet those expectations. As you know we talked to the two families that are in you party and have moved both of them to upgraded rooms at the same price. We understand they are happy with their new accommodations. Please feel free to reach out to me personally if I can be of further assistance to your group or if you would like to discuss your stay further. candrews@sirata.com.

I was meeting a friend for a weekend getaway and had stayed at the Sirata in the past, so decided to visit it again and her and I were both happy with the choice. The staff sets this resort apart from some of the others on the beach, so hats off to them and management for realizing the importance of this. They went out of their way to be helpful from the minute I pulled the car up to check in. The room was very nice and very clean, we had extra towels brought up within minutes of calling for them along with some extra coffee. Totally relaxing time for both of us at the south pool with fantastic service from the girls working the bar/tiki hut. The "north" pool area seemed more for families with kids, but it is perfect for that and everybody over there seemed to be having a lot of fun. The beach area is one of the best if Florida....the same for all the hotels on this strip, so take advantage of it, but the Sirata has done a lot with their area so check it out too.
I would recommend the Sirata to any couples looking for a great weekend and from what I saw, a family would enjoy it as well.

Room Tip: Of course ocean view is great. A higher floor if you like to sleep in (kids hit the pool early)

First, I've stayed at a few other places in this general area on the beach over the years. Most recently, I stayed at the Alden a year ago. So, I have a general idea of how much it costs and what you can get for your money.
The Sirata was clean for certain. The service was friendly and nice. Our room had a great kitchen area and was a lovely suite. The suites can fit a good # of people. They responded promptly when we called. But for the price we paid, I would expect a bit more. Here's what we did not enjoy: 1. parking is an extra $15 per day and the lot is crowded. We had to park a ways away from our room. That isn't fun when you have lots of baggage and food to unload. ; 2. There were 3 or 4 maintenance issues when we got to our room- the bed was broken, the lamps would not turn on, the closet doors were off their tracks, and the safe was locked and we could not use it; 3. The carpet is a very dark pattern so we were not sure how clean it was- not terrible but just something to note. Otherwise it did seem very clean ; 4. They did not leave any coffee in the room. We called and they brought some. But they did not bring the sugar/cream packets with it. We had to call again to get those ; 5. The pools (there are 3) were all packed. There was no way you'd swim in them. You would only be able to pick a spot and stand. I think they had one just for grown-ups though but again- packed ; 6. There is no breakfast. You must either bring your own or go out and find a place to eat ; 7. Unless you want to go down to the office, they do not give you a receipt when you check out. Most places slip your check out receipt under your door the day of your departure. They do not do this apparently (unless they just missed us). 8. When we arrived, there was a beach chair right by the door to our room. It was partly in front of the door. So, we initially thought maybe someone was still in the room. Hard to believe the cleaning crew left this chair there. We moved it aside a bit and no one took it the entire time we were there. That was a small thing but it kind of exemplifies how this hotel stay went- a lack of attention to detail, maintenance, and a focus on maximizing profits. So, nothing terrible. It's clean and is on a lovely beach. If you don't mind the crowds a bit- it's fine. I just think for how much it costs, it is not what I would expect. If you can get a great deal on the price- it is an adequate and clean hotel on a wonderful beach. And again- the people working there were very nice.

Room Tip: Ask to be away from the elevators. Also ask for a balcony if you enjoy that. We did not and we had...

Nice hotel and very efficient booking in. We were informed that our room was not ready on arrival as we arrived early, though were informed that we would get a call by 2pm to let us know that room was ready, and sure enough the call came bang on time. Room was comfortable and spacious although could benefit from on update. Our fridge was not working properly so reported this to reception the following morning and maintenance man came straight away to sort this out so impressed with promptness off staff. Our room was cleaned everyday and provided with plenty of fresh towels, coffee, etc which was good. Beach/pool towels available from kiosks which was a good idea though not always available when you went for them, and on one or two occasions were given towels which did not look or feel clean! Position of hotel is excellent beach front, though do not think you should have to pay for the beach cabanas as these are $25 for two people and there were three of us, so could work out expensive. Pool areas nice though very busy and noisy, and people taking drinks into pool areas and were a bit overcrowded, which did not allow for swimming. Not enough shaded areas around pool areas. Had food in both beach bars, and would recommend Harry's bar over the other bar for friendly service and food much better. We did enjoy our time here as relaxing after a busy two weeks in New York and Orlando, so would visit again.

Stayed at the resort for 6 days, nice facility, staff was welcoming. Housekeeping did a Great job with keeping room clean and stocked with towels, etc... Although Florida in July is warm, resort has nice section of beach to swim, walk or play in. Recommend this resort.

The booking agent lied to me about the accommodations that my room would have. The tub was stained black in the bottom and the grout was mildewed. I saw a drunk man shove a woman and then get into a fight right beneath my balcony. My baby heard them from inside our room and cried. I asked them to please stop and one man called me the c-word. There was a pile of poop on the pool deck and 25 minutes after I reported it to staff, it was still there. The manager on duty refused to come out and speak with me when I asked to talk to him. The room quality is a glorified motel. Don't waste your money. Go to trade winds next door for a better experience and room.
