My husband & I recently stayed in unit #3 at the Coconut Inn for 7 nights and all I can say is "what a great choice"! The room was modern, clean & functional. It had plenty of closet space, a nice size dresser & a comfy bed. The kitchenette had a small stove, coffee maker, large fridge & all necessary utensils, which was handy being that we prefer not to eat out for every meal. There was a great spot up the block called Shaner's land & sea market. They have cold cuts, beer, wine, prepared gourmet food & common staple items. This came in very handy during our stay.

The Coconut Inn is across the street from a breathtaking beach & has a small pool to cool off in. They provide beach chairs, floats, umbrellas & bikes too! They're also within walking distance to the local restaurants, bars & trolly. If you like seafood you must visit Sea Critters, if you're craving Italian you gotta go to Gennaro's & if you like a great menu with a killer view of the sunset, you must visit the Brass Monkey. We visited all 3, twice!! The Sea Horse has the best bang for your buck breakfast & has been around since the 1930's.

The Inn Manager, Eddie, was our new found "Angel of Pass-a-grille". He provided service with a smile the minute we stepped foot on the property & was prompt in assisting us with our every need. Thanks Eddie!! The cleaning staff were also friendly & did a fantastic job tidying up our room every afternoon! Ahh how we miss the Coconut Inn!

Bottom line: It's refreshing to have found a vacation getaway with great value, that doesn't compromise cleanliness & impeccable customer service! It truly is our new found paradise!

We'll definitely be back!

This charming, clean, wonderfully-staffed inn was the perfect choice for our family who was looking for a quiet, relaxing week on the beach. Our 1 bedroom had pull-outs for our 2 kids, a small but functional kitchen/dining area, & plenty of storage for our clothes. The pool was just outside our front door & always the perfect temp. Eddie & his staff bent over backward to make sure we had a wonderful time--even taking us on a sunset cruise on our last night! The rooms & grounds are immaculate. There were bikes & pool & beach gear to borrow. The inn is right across the (quiet) street from a beautiful, shell-filled beach, & a block from the trolley stop, great restaurants & fun local shops. Pass-a-Grille is not for the "tourist"--it's for those who want to slow down, enjoy the natural beauty and historic feel of this unspoiled treasure. Staying at the Coconut Inn was just the icing on the cake. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Lower rooms open directly onto pool patio. Upper rooms have balconies from which to watch the sunset...

Great place to stay. One block off the beach and they have everything you need for the beach (chairs, toys etc.). Friendly staff and nice rooms. We stayed in the one bedroom and really enjoyed it. Great restaurants nearby and amazing sunsets.

Eddie has 3 places and we stayed at the Havana Inn with our Grand Kids before heading off to Universal Studios. It was wonderful and had everything we needed.
It was across the not busy street to the ocean and beach. Eddie even had long boards the kids could rent and bikes to borrow. The sandy beach was full of shells some not broken and lots broken - take beach shoes. We went to the beach every day and I was amazed at how housekeeping could do so well at keeping the floors swept up and sand free. The beach was not very crowded so we would recommend it for a nice get away!!

Room Tip: We stayed in the family portion in The Havana Inn.

We have stayed at this hotel twice, and both times it was an absolute pleasure! We have stayed at the Sabal Palms (owned by the same people) for years and again, top notch establishment! The staff is courteous, helpful, friendly. The rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable. I would recommend these 2 hotels to anyone looking for a great get away on the Gulf coast! Can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: Both hotels have different rooms to suit your needs....one night stay, a couple days, a week....they...

We stayed at the Havana Inn which is owned by Coconut Inn/ Sabal Palms this past weekend. What a nice surprise! We stayed in room 1 which had been remodeled but they kept some of the original structures like the old hard wood floors which were beautiful, a stained glass window in the master bedroom and retro tile in the main bathroom! It was a beautiful and spacious-- kitchen, 2 full bedrooms with an additional day room, day bed and extra bathroom. It was right across the street from one of the most beautiful beaches in FL and the owners and staff were friendly and helpful. They had bikes, beach umbrellas, a common sitting area outside with tables/ chairs and a grill and it was so close to the restaurants and little shops, you could walk everywhere- even with a 2 year old. You can use the pool at Coconut Inn which is right across the street. My only regret is not being able to stay longer!

We had a great vacation. Coconut Inn is close to the beach which is great because during a Holiday you need to get to the beach early to get a good spot in Pass-a-grille (St. Pete Beach). The pool at coconut inn comes in handy for our son who is 3 and learning to swim - and its also a nice break from the beach action. We use the grill at Coconut Inn to cook dinner and lunch. The service Emiglio provides is outstanding - he keeps our room clean and gets anything we need (which sometimes can be demanding with a 3 year old). This was our 6th trip out to St. Pete Beach staying Coconut Inn and don't see us staying anywhere else in Pass-a-Grille.

Room Tip: All the rooms are good. They have 2 floors so if you have a toddler I suggest getting a room on the...
