This was our second time to the Plaza Beach Hotel. We stayed there about ten years ago. Definitely nicer now than our previous stay. We were only there for one night but I would definitely come here again. The hotel was great and the beach is beautiful. Only negative was the little bar wasn't selling beer yet but said they would be getting liquor license in two months.

Room Tip: The end unit rooms are the best and probably second floor would be the best room. They have a balco...

After reviewing many hotels on this beach, we decided to go with the Plaza Beach Hotel based on the price and the comments of others. If you are looking for fancy, this is not your place, however, we were looking for a clean quiet place on the beach, and we found it! We had a lower level basic room for the three of us. It was clean and bright. The people who run the resort are super nice, and the people staying at the resort were mostly families and older people. We didn't know what to expect staying on the beach during a popular Spring Break week, but it was quiet, the beach is gorgeous and not crazy-busy, and everyone was respectful and friendly. We had friends who stayed at the Sirata down the beach a ways who were charged extra for many "amenities" like internet access, parking, and a "resort fee" - all of these are included here! We plan to return next year, possibly stay in a bigger room, and bring all of our kids!

Room Tip: Not having a room with a view doesn't matter - take ten steps out your door and you have a view...

After driving all day, we arrived in Florida later than we expected, about 9:00 p.m. Every hotel we called had an answering machine, until we reached Plaza Beach and I am so glad it worked out that way. The women who answered the phone was super accomodating and helpful. I knew right away we were going to love this place and we did. There was plenty of chairs at the pool and the beach is right there. Price was wonderful and staff were very friendly and helpful. Love this place...in fact my friend will be checking in tomorrow with her family.

Room Tip: Be sure you say you want beach...they have two properties

The Plaza provided everything we were looking for in a small hotel. It is well situated on St. Pete Beach with a grocery and drug store just across the street. We could walk to the beach from our room in under a minute and there were plenty of chairs and places for us to hang out around the pool at any time of day. We found the staff and long term guests to be exceptionally friendly and helpful and really enjoyed the peace and quiet at night. The rooms are compact, clean and well stocked with the basics for cooking The housekeeping staff provided us with a daily service of garbage removal and fresh supplies of towels and sheets.
If you are looking for a place with modern finishes and a spectacular gulf view from your patio then this is not the place for you. If you like smaller more assessible hotels that are a little dated but clean and quiet then you should definitely consider this one. We would stay there again.

Room Tip: Rooms on the south side are quieter.

This place is great. Great staff working, very helpful. First time here and I had requested the top room but it was unavailable, then when we got here they put us in it. A balcony room!! All the rooms are very nice. We paid $30.00 more a night, but it was worth it There was 3 of us.. But I think a side room close to the beach wouldv'e been fine too. Last day here and I need another week. Beautiful pool, view, alot of wonderful people we met at happy hour. If I must complain about something it would be to extend the free happy hour. Its too short. They take away the free beer and wine. But its fine you can go get your own and still continue on with having fun with the new people you met. Its not a crazy spring break motel, if thats what someone is looking for. Things quiet down here very quickly about 8:30 and I'm thinking the first night, where is everyone. But you have days of sunshine and sunburn and your ready for bed. Everyone around here sleeps in latter and goes to bed early. If thats for you, this is the place. I loved it!! Nice a quiet.I love that its family owned and small. No resort or parking fees. No coplaints, except that I have to go home to reality and I hear my dryer is not working.

Room Tip: Any room is good.

I like that I can walk out my door and be on the beach in less than a minute. The heated pool is great and we like the chairs and lounges that look out over the water for dolphin watch. A really quiet and comfortable motel and thanks to Bisera and all the staff who are so friendly and work hard to keep everything clean and in good repair.

After being let down by a hotel in Sarasota, we drove up to St Pete's Beach early evening & found this hotel. They only had 1 room available & this room had only just been upgraded. the room itself was very small compared to other rooms we have stayed in, but it was spotless & quiet (though it faced out onto the main road). because there was only 2 of us, the size was no real issue as we are usually out of the hotel for most of the day. In the morning I ventured out and walked around the hotel area. I was blown away by the rear of the place, it has everything for a family, but it also looks out over the gulf & you just walk through a gate onto the beach, which is a superb beach. There are plenty of dining options nearby, I definitely recommend Silo's, we both enjoyed the best meal we have ever had, the steak just melts. The staff themselves run this as a family hotel & you just join the family, nothing is too much trouble which is the service I think we all want, when staying at a hotel. Parking can be a bit tight, but that is more about inconsiderate guests than a small car park. We stayed for 3 nights & have no complaints about this hotel, just good memories.
