We visited the St. Pete area for a week in August 2014. This was the restaurant we ate at the first night we were in town. It was so good, we visited the restaurant again on our last night in town. The seafood that my husband and son ordered (shrimp, scallops and oysters), was delicious according to them. I don't eat seafood, so I will take their word for it. I had chicken both times and it too was delicious. On both visits, we ordered Key Lime pie and it was the best that we've ever eaten. We also loved the sorbet that we were served prior to receiving our main course. Reading about the local history and about Silas Dent, was another plus. : )

Ate here with two friends tonight and a split decision on the experience. Waiter was very pleasant and attentive but too much so. Felt like he was in a hurry to get us in and out, no line waiting to get in. Food was tasty but is all pre-prepared and heated to serve, no substitutions. My shrimp and scallops were tasty though quite small for Jumbo but the veggies were overcooked and flavorless. Rice was tasty and hot. The gator appetizer is presented beautifully but where's the gator? Lots of breading and cold not even crispy. Gator should be pan seared with minimal breading, just a crumb coat perhaps. The ladies I was entertaining enjoyed themselves so an evening well spent. Will not return nor recommend in spite of the few bright spots.

We were driving at the beach and wanted to stop somewhere for dinner. We saw the sign for this steak house and decided to stop. It's a unique place on the water. Quirky nautical decor. The waiter Omar was knowledgable about each dish and the specials and very nice. The pretzel bread and butter were so tasty, we thought the butter might have chopped capers. My husband ordered the strip steak special with andouille and shrimp with a spicey sauce and I ordered the rib eye. The veggies were steamed perfectly,It was all delishous. We didn't order dessert but I understand everything is made in house.
We will definitely go there again.

We ate here twice on our recent trip to Treasure Island. Good atmosphere, memorabilia and history. Pleasant, attentive wait staff. Every one of our dishes was excellent, the NY strip (perfectly cooked) and prime rib being especially good. Will definitely return next time we are in the area.

This was intentially the restaurant for our last night in St Pete. We got a romatic table that was raised off the tucked away from the crowd. Both our dishes were amazing. We loved the history behind the restaurant's name. We will return again.
