“Excellent location for casual dining”
Reviewed 26 May 2013

Sea Critters is our go to place when we start our SPB vacations - for us it epitomises our SPB experience - wonderful location on the water, good food and service and a lovely casual friendly atmosphere - instant relaxation!

We dined here several times during our 2 week stay and were not disappointed at any time. The sea food broil is not only plentiful and great quality but also excellent value in my opinion. Also, they are extremely accommodating - my husband has a severe clam allergy (clams are included in the broil) and our inquiry to find out if it was possible to not only have them excluded from his broil but to also have his broil cooked in a cleaned pan as just the water is enough to give him a problem, was met without fuss - our waiter checked with the kitchen and they said no problem. It was delicious and my husband was fine.

The service is always friendly, if the seating area you want isn't free ( we always love to sit on the dock tables) have a drink at the bar while you wait - the bartenders mix an excellent vodka martini and they are famous for their margaritas.

My husband also recommends the ribs, and I also love the scallop risotto and the fresh grouper never disappoints.

Fine dining it isn't - but it doesn't pretend to be - but if you like a beautiful location, good food, friendly staff and a busy casual atmosphere you won't be disappointed.

Looking forward to being back at Christmas!

“Better than avg. for fresh fish”
Reviewed 23 May 2013

My jerked grouper sandwich was excellent, perfectly cooked and adequately seasoned. Our waitress was great. When my 4-yr-old asked for mac and cheese -- not on the kids menu -- she said the kitchen staff made a cheese sauce from scratch worth trying. She was right, and my kiddo loved it. When you add happy hour Margaritas to the mix, you've got an all-around winner. Yeah, it's not haute cuisine, but that was not our objective.

We had a group of ten of us. Service was outstanding, food was above average, prices were fair. Will return again.

“There are Plenty of Better Places to Eat”
Reviewed 19 May 2013

The table tops are dirty and sticky, the food is just adequate but the wait staff was OK. Went to dinner on a Saturday evening and was very disappointed. The young man who waited on the table was the only bright spot in the experience.
