Description: The Flying Bridge is quintessential Florida dining. From its origins as an authentic cracker cottage - the simple architectural style of the state's first settlers - to the fresh grouper sandwiches of its kitchen, the restaurant serves up an experience that you can't find outside of the Sunshine State. In warm weather, the restaurant's open-air feel gives you fresh gulf breezes and spectacular views of the beach with our meandering waterway running right beneath you. The all-day menu features a wide range of appetizers, salads, burgers, chicken and fresh seafood sandwiches. In the evenings, The Flying Bridge's extensive menu expands to include even more items, including fresh salmon, grouper, shrimp and other heavier dinner selections that you can enjoy while you watch the sun set over the horizon.

“Miserable Staff!!”
Reviewed 3 November 2013

Of all the places on the Tradewinds properties.....not sure what goes on here. We have been coming to this resort for years, and have nothing but good things to say about all the spots on property!! I don't know what goes on in this spot, if it is just forgotten about, mis managed or there is just a crumby atmosphere. The staff here never ever are nice. They don't smile, they don't seem to care and for the most part they don't even seem to look up!!!! We don't complain much, but to be honest in the 15 or so times we have stopped in for a drink at the bar, it is just an effort to go in there. I really hope that something changes in this spot it is the downfall of the resort!!!!! We have eaten outside on the patio and it seems to be better, the food is good, service is a little slow, but we have never really been in a hurry so doesn't matter.

“Great lunch spot”
Reviewed 30 October 2013

The Flying Bridge is right next to one of the pools as well as right on the beach so it was a great spot for lunch. Very kid friendly and having the option of sitting outside was helpful. The staff was super & the food was great.

“Good appetizers”

This bar is fantastic. Great calypso music, very friendly employees. Fast service with a smile. We had several appetizers and they were delicious. Especially the conch fritters and nachos.

“Quick and Easy!”
Reviewed 11 October 2013

The Flying Bridge at Tradewinds is very people friendly. The staff is very attentive and the chef's can accommodate any adjustments you want from the menu. I usually ask for some of the sandwich fixings on the side. The food is fresh and yummy. Anything from the nachos to a chicken philly wrap. I have never had a bad meal at the Flying Bridge. It is conveniently located and is always clean.

“Flying Bridge restaurant”
Reviewed 10 October 2013

The Flying Bridge is an outdoor restaurant that looks over the Gulf of Mexico and one of the 5 pools at The Tradewinds Resort. The menu is pretty basic with burgers, sandwiches, appitizers and salads. The food is good, the service was really good, considering how busy it was. What makes this so the location. The Gulf and the pool make it a great place to take a break and enjoy the wonderful weather and atmosphere.
