“Perfect Atmosphere”

My sisters and I stayed at this incredibly charming inn for three days recently. It was perfect. Dave the owner was incredibly helpful and simply a really nice guy. Even the other guests staying there were charming. The rooms are spotless and well appointed, the pool is wonderful and the gas grill made for an easy evening dinner around the pool. Huge thank you to Dave and his crew for a fantastic three days. Wish I could give this wonderful place more than an excellent rating.

Room Tip: probably not a bad room in the place but we stayed in #5.

I stayed here as a solo traveller in July 2013. And what a great place to stay! The location couldn't get any better. Under a 5 minute walk to the beach, which in my opinion is nicer and more relaxed than Clearwater. They even had chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards at the Inn to take to the beach. I stayed in an efficiency suite, and it was more than sufficient. The owner Dave was very friendly, and recommended many places to go and eat. The pool is clean and quite large and deep. There is also a courtesy barbeque for guests, which I didn't use. I would stay here again in a heartbeat if I ever come back to St. Pete beach! Thanks Gulf Tides Inn!

We stayed here for 3 days in early September. The perfect place to chill out. Our room was excellent. Cooker, toaster, microwave, fridge and a QUIET A/C!!!! Good sized pool for a 10 room establishment. The BBQ for guest use is a nice touch. Great value for money. Dave, the owner, is a great guy. Has a wealth of local knowledge. We would have no hesitation in recommending the Gulf Tides.

First time at St Pete Beach and the Gulf Tides Inn. Stayed in Efficiency Room #4 and loved it! I was meeting friends who had to cancel at the last minute. But Dave came to the rescue by giving me tips on where to go and great places to eat. Easy walk to the beach and chairs available at the Inn. Don't miss the fabulous sunsets! Perfect place for solo visitor. Can't wait to go back to the Gulf Tides Inn and St Pete!.

Will echo all the fabulous comments already made by other reviewers! We couldn't have found a friendlier place with fabulous pool, close to the beach and other amenities and such a chilled atmosphere. It is in the less commercial part of this coast line (much quieter than other parts e.g. Clearwater etc.) but still closer to lots of amenities and a lovely quiet beach.

Kitchen was great and meant we could cook (after two weeks in restaurants around Disney/Universal we just wanted something simple!) Bathroom seemed lovely and new and was very clean. Nice bedrooms with quiet air-con.

Lovely idea that we could borrow beach chairs, umberellas and pool toys if you wanted.

Dave and Adele are lovely (Dave being a fellow Northerner from UK!) and were very accommodating. Advice given was excellent.

Would love to come back sometime. Our 8 year old daughter (having spent two weeks in Disney etc.) said to us on our second day there on the beach that she would have happily spent two weeks here instead! What a good recommendation!

Spent a week at Gulf Tides Inn last March break. Was fabulous. I have been in the travel business for over 20 years now and this little piece of paradise is a kept secret !!! Dave & his wife Adele cannot do enough for their guests. You will not be disappointed and only a stones throw from the beach . Love Gulf Tides Inn will be back next spring .

We live an hour inland and randomly decided to stay for one night at the beach. We chose to say at Gulf Tides after reading several raving reviews. We stayed in Unit 2, and efficiency. Small, but perfect for my husband and my 2 year old. The pool and surrounding areas were very nice. The only drawback we felt was the distance to walk to the beach. We spend most of our time at the beach - not the pool. Lugging your stuff, especially with a small child was a bit rough. Although the accommodations were pleasant and distance to the beach wasn't too far, we considered it just a little too far with small children. We would recommend choosing another place that has a shorter walk when toting little ones to the beach.
