The Keystone made for an AMAZING get away. The hotel is a diamond in the ruff and newly renovated. The people at the hotel are friendly and go out of their way to make the experience nothing but great. I will be back and hopefully sooner than later!!

Tryed to book 8 rooms for a family reunion 2nd week in September and after several attempts of calling finally a lady answered and said she can't rent to us. Very rude. We booked down the road at Thunderbird Beach Resort - they accepted our money.

The Keystone Motel has been around for a long time, but it doesn't show. It is located right across the street from the beach, nothing blocking view as there are no hotels directly on the beach....family operated...good location....clean rooms...kind and considerate staff. It was our first time there, but it seemed like most folks had been coming for years. Yes, it's a simple place, relaxed...but that's what Pass-a-Grille is all about.

We stayed there onltyfor one night, the lady who checked us in was an elderly lady and we being from uk, loved our ma'am (meaning our late queen mother) she was a really nice helpful lady and we loved our stay there, the rooms were spotless, the following year we tried to book in there, but unfortunatly we couldn't, we are visiting florida again january 2009, and the keystone motel is definatly on our list.

I went to the Keystone Motel on the recommedation of a friend. I called them weeks before my arrival to book a one night stay. Over the phone they told me that they were slow and didn't have to book and to just show up. When I did this, the lady there was quite rude and said that they dont do just one night stays. She did end up giving me a room but wasn't too thrilled. The room was on the ground floor and was full of dust and cobwebs. The bathroom had unidentifiable gunk on the walls....
The great thing was that it was accross the street from the beach. For those that like crowded public beaches I guess this is a good thing. I personally dont! Parking is included with the room.
Would not stay here again.

My husband and I have been traveling to the St Pete Beach area for 25 + years. We have stayed from Clearwater back to Pass-a- Grille Beach. But one thing is certain, we always come back to the Keystone.

Its not fancy , you have to get your ice bucket filled from the Restaurant next door.
You have your selection of room types, there are 3 apartment
type rooms, 7-10 efficientcy rooms and many more hotel rooms.
When you make your reservation ask for a room in the front horeshoe as there are many rooms that in are in the inner
part of the buliding, that while they are fine, they provide very little
vacation atmosphere.

There is a pool on the property that is adequate and never is crowded.

The beautiful Pass a Grille beach is directly accross the street and the Huricane Restaurant is right next door.

But the location is the best on St Pete Beach. The beaches in Pass a Grille are uncrowded clean and
beautiful.
The hotel sits across the street from the beach but it is on the corner of the main drag of Pass a Grile and Beach front.
There are great restaurants and bars all within walking distance.
