This is a great Tikki Hut for ice cold beer and great views of St Pete Beach. You can watch a sun set everyday. The bartender is always friendly. Try one of their frozen drinks. Very good!

Since we frequent Ricks Reef Patio Bar, we had to check out his new venture. Rick's Reef Beachside is located on the beach in back of the Plaza Beach Hotel. It is a great little tiki bar with ICE COLD beer, high quality hot dogs, chips and ice cream for the kids. You can't beat the views looking over the white sandy beach on the gulf . Chris the bartender is very personable and a great bartender. You must go and check it out you will never feel so relaxed. P.S. Bring the kids, and sand toys.

We travel to SPB twice a year and have always enjoyed everything about Rick's Reef (the original) so when we caught wind that there was a Beachside location opening we were thrilled. This place is just perfect, not too big, not too wild, not too loud. The drink and food menu is limited but I can tell you that the beer is ice cold and the fish spread (in-house made at the Reef restaurant) is fantastic The bartenders are quite entertaining and informative and there is always an upbeat friendly vibe amongst the patrons. If you're looking for a fantastic place to watch the sunset just grab a drink and park yourself in one of the big colorful beach chairs. PS liquor is not "officially" allowed on the beach but here an inlet of the beach is owned by the resort (Plaza Beach) so drinks can be taken out to a certain point. What this place lacks in size is more than made up for in character and charm. Surely a welcome addition at the Plaza Beach property. Enjoy!!! We sure hope to again and again. And be sure to look at their Facebook page for some great pics.
