I hadn't been to Tradewinds for a few years. It was just as fun as I remembered. It was a great place for my children when they were young. This was my first time there with teenagers. We all had a blast.

Everyone who works at Tradewinds was helpful and friendly. Aaron at the font desk was amazing. He really helped make this a successful birthday party for my son.

Room Tip: Remember to reserve a cabana!

Nice hotel on the beach with several pools and lots of other amenities. The rooms are tastefully decorated and have a small kitchen area. A number of restaurants are on site. The hotel holds a large number of conferences on site so it can be very busy throughout the day. Lots of staff on hand to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. Front desk experience could of been better. Always going to ask the manager in the back. Some fond memories made here.

Our family (Mom/Dad, Seven-year old, and toddler) enjoyed our stay at TradeWinds. We asked for a quiet room the day before we left and were assured that we were in the best part of the resort that is quiet. Ask for the Breckenridge building, it was very quiet, away from all family/kid pools. The Breckenridge does have its own pool, but it is Adult only so our walk was a bit of a ways, but we did not mind because we did not want to be close to the kids pool because of potential noise. All requests were met quickly and accurately. We needed a crib, it arrived promptly. We needed a specific time for our room to be cleaned (because of sleeping afternoon toddler) the request was met graciously. We enjoyed the Cabanas (book online after 2 p.m. to get your pick!) and the waterslide very much!!!! Both parents and toddler really enjoyed the baby pool by the Konk kids activities center. The kitchenette in our room was more than enough to handle our light cooking (read microwave) and our fridge was more than large enough to handle our Publix grocery run and leftovers from previous nights restaurant.
The hotel would do great to add some hooks in the rooms to hang towels and swimsuits, and a splash pad would be a most welcome addition to the many resort amenities.
We really enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: For quiet try to get the Breckenridge building.

Had a great birthday weekend at the resort! We reserved the Boca Ciega Penthouse and a groovy and far out 70's party! Dinner Friday night at Rumfish Grill inside the Guy Harvey was excellent. Thanks to Aaron, the General Manager, for seating our party right next to the tank. Service, food and atmosphere was awesome! Everyone at the Island Grand property was so nice, professional and went out of their way to help and accommodate our party on Saturday night. Have to give a shout out to Aaron at the front desk, Ron "The Greatest" doorman and Chris at guest satisfaction for making our birthday beach bash weekend the best ever! I will definitely be staying at the TradeWinds again!

The staff is wonderful. I asked where the closest restroom was and one of the staff walked with me to show where it was. That's service! There is so much to do; paddle boats, bungee trampoline, movies by the pool at night, huge slide, play ground in the water. Then for extra charge; wave runners, paddle boards, snorkeling/dolphin watch boat. Something for everyone. Have fun!

We have been coming here for 3 years in a row now...all year round Jimmy asks for Ray and the big slide. When we get there every year Jimmy runs up to Ray and tells his name and Ray remembers Jimmy! He feels like he owns the place, it's awesome! The Tradewinds is so clean and beautiful! Everyone is so delightful! Miss Tiffany who works at the lobby bar is such a pleasure when I get my coffee in the morning! I highly recommend this place, it's a gem!

Hello MamaLacie,
What a sweet story... we love that Jimmy asks about Ray and the 'big slide' all year round and seeks him out as soon as you guys here! It's special moments like those that will create life-long memories. Thank you so much for sharing and for also recognizing Tiffany from Awakenings. Her smile is definitely contagious and provides a great start to the day. We truly appreciate your loyalty and recommendations. We can't wait to see the whole family again next year!
Kind Regards,
Leni

Been going to this resort for 10 years. Watched our kids grow as did the resort. They've made many improvements to activities and the rooms. We love the surrounding activities as well such as the Clearwater Aquarium and local restaurants. I had a wonderful massage several times over the past several years with Terri Phillips. She is very thorough and quite relaxing. There's plenty of activities day and night to keep you occupied. Bermudas restaurant prime rib buffet was very disappointing. Very little variety and seafood, mainly crab legs was very dry. Palm Court Sunday brunch is always a treat. Tried the new restaurant at Guy Harvey's Outpost. They had just opened a few weeks before and had a few kinks to work out. But the fish tanks are worth the trip.

Room Tip: Gulf view rooms are the best. Breckenridge building is very convenient to the beach. If you'...
