This was our second stay at this B&B. We were just as impressed as the first time. Breakfast was wonderful. The property is so well maintained. The rooms are spacious and the bed linens and towels are of such fine quality. Can't wait to return.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights and had a wonderful time. Ed was a perfect host. The house is nicely situated in the town. We were in the Cottage Suite- lovely! Plenty of space. Ed prepared yummy blueberry pancakes on our first morning and savory eggs baked in cream the second morning. Both meals were accompanied by fresh seasonal fruit and delicious coffee (or tea if preferred). We choose St. Pete for a weekend away from Fort Lauderdale; however, we also drove to Tampa each night for dinner. We enjoyed meals at Bern's steakhouse and Columbia restaurant in Ybor City. Those experience really enriched our stay. In St. Pete, we took in the Chihuly collection and the Dali museum- both worth checking out! We had lunch at Ceviche. If you go, the sangria is tasty and only 4/glass on a Saturday at lunchtime. So to top off our stay, we left behind a garment bag. Ed called and swiftly mailed the items to us. All in all, I would not hesitate to stay again at the Dickens house.

Room Tip: Cottage Suite is bright and charming. on the second floor.

We stayed 2 nights before our flight home to the UK.The airport was an easy 30 minute drive.
Ed was helpful and very welcoming. We had long chats about St Petersburg, America, the UK and the world in general!
The breakfasts were delicious and the room more than comfortable. The location is ideal for the town and the 50 cent trolley bus. (25 cents for Seniors!) is a great way to get the feel of the town. The drivers gave a commentary which was fascinating and varied from driver to driver.
Try the Dali Museum, a real treat.

Room Tip: Sorry we only saw ours, The Percy Snell Room, small by American standards, but this is a 1912 house...

My wife and I spent Memorial weekend in St Petersburg; we stayed two nights at Dickens House.
Our Cottage Suite was clean and comfortable, and our host Ed was most helpful and accomodating. A couple of days before our arrival, we informed him we'd just gone gluten-free, and he prepared two delicious breakfasts for us without wheat.

We'll be back!

Ed always does an amazing job. We live in Tampa Bay but never get the chance to be tourist in our own backyard so we book a weekend at Dickens House! This time the Cottage Suite was available so we booked it. If you are not interested in having the traditional house stay and want additional privacy it's great. You do have access to the main house but being detached works for us. The Cottage Suite would be great for extended stays. Easy walk to everything by the water, so no need to use your car unless you are going to the beach.

We visited friends in St. Pete this past weekend and stayed at the beautiful, charming inn. Great rooms, awesome breakfast and the nicest inn keeper you can think of. If you visit St. Pete, that's the place to go!

We had the smallest room (The Orange Belt), which Ed warned us for. It was still good though, since the common areas are excellent to hang out. The bed is good and you're very close to the harbour. Ed is a great host who whips up an amazing breakfast: delicious all 4 times, all different. Definitely worth going here!
