the inn had gotten such wonderful reviews on this website that we decided to stay 3 nites. yes, the room was very charming, bed v/comfortable, robes added a nice touch...altho bathroom quite small...
it was v/convenient to baywalk and pier and salvador dali museum...before booking reservation, i spoke to dennis tellingh im that my husband and i are very simple breakfast eaters, cereal, eggs, pancakes, french toast and we dont care for anything like sausage and cream sauces...he reassured us that this wud not be a problem and he wud accommodate us...
this was not the case...the cook/server was rude,
we had watery scrambled eggs with english muffin, not what we wud call a substantial breakfast...while the next day we had waffles - maybe like eggo's? - the 3rd day we decided to skip breakfast altogether...
all in all, a nice stay but the breakfast was a waste...why not have boxes of cereal...?

Great location, fabulous service, comfortable room and tremendous breakfast. We walked or rode the trolley everywhere we wanted to go and left the car parked. The room was very nice and comfortable, but not cheesy or over-the-top like some B&Bs. Breakfast both days was elegant and very good, better than most 5 star restaurants. We were able to skip lunch both days and enjoy a nice dinner in downtown St. Pete. We highly recommend Inn at the Bay B&B!

After a year and a half my beautiful bride Molly and I went on a honeymoon to Inn at the Bay in St. Petersburg Florida. We were excited to be there and we were not disappointed. The decorations were fun and beautiful. The room was great with a whirlpool tub and feather bed. We normally rise early but found ourselves snoozing an hour past our normal wake up call. This was still in time to have a gourmet breakfast. Forget the normal continental breakfast you get at other places. This was a two course breakfast. Homemade-handmade hollandaise sauce on the eggs benedict, roasted walnuts on the Belgium waffles, poached eggs to live for on the crab cakes so light they did not weigh you down. It was the type of thing you cannot put into a brochure. The ambiance just did not quit.
Best regard,
Daniel de Caussin
