Beautiful space both in and outside. Be sure to walk through the gardens and maze. The art is exhibited well, and the docents are very knowledgable.

Check the streets near the museum for newsstand boxes that say "free". They contain a coupon book with a $2 off per person coupon for the museum (up to 4 people.) We found ours on Bayshore Dr. near 2nd Ave..

We arrived around 12:20 and learned that there was a guided tour beginning in 10 minutes, so we joined up The tour is included in the admission price, and there are several per day. It is an excellent idea to do the tour as the guide points out the hidden aspects of the painting that you probably otherwise would miss on your own. Also, you can ask questions, which is very helpful. The tour lasts about 45 minutes.

After the guided tour, we obtained a personal recorder with a pre-recorded blurb about several of the paintings This is also included in the admission price, and you must leave your ID in exchange for using the recorder. With this device, you can walk around the museum on your own, and when you see a painting with a number next to it, punch that number into the device. It will give you information about that painting, generally a couple of minutes long. This is a good idea because the guided tours generally have several people in them, and they only take you to see the larger paintings due to space constrictions.

The building itself is a work of art, including the spiral staircase. The gift shop is full of wonderful items that incorporate Dali's art. You can easily spend several hours here.

This place was recently remodeled, a much needed upgrade from the previous museum. To visit the Dali is to go inside the mind of an abstract artist. Every time we go we notice something new. Great place to spend the day, admission is reasonable.

We waited until the second week of our trip to Florida to visit this Museum. Left it until Thursday as they allow children in free between 10am to 12. We travelled from Tampa to get there ! Arrived at 12.04 (due to delays in St. Pete because of a MLB baseball game and a delay in the Museum car park), eventually I had to get my wife and the Kids to jump out while I waited in the car park to try and get their before 12pm. when i arrived at the desk they had already refused my Kids free entry and despite me explaining the reasons why we were late they were completely disinterested and insisted on the children paying. As a matter of principal we left. Emailed their customer services department and they said that they 'had procedures to follow' ! For the Dali Museum it is clearly all 'about the money honey !' and customer service / customer experience and trying to educate children on the wonder of the artist is treated as an inconvenience ! Shame on them ! Go to Barcelona you will be treated much better !
