“Great Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 December 2012

This is a marvelous exhibit of some magnificent glass work by Chihuly. The admission included a lengthy film about his work as well as an incredibly interesting guided tour.. The information provided about how the various glass sculputres were made, installed, and cared for was all fascinating. This type of exhibit is not my "usual thing," but I enjoyed it immensely and highly recommend spending some time here.

“Chihuly Glass Exhibit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 December 2012

The glass creations by Chihuly are awesomely beautiful. It's helpful to take the guided tour.
The grand finale is a glass garden. If you are in the St. Petersburg area, it's worth seeing.

“If you love Chihuly, don't miss this”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 December 2012

This collection of glassmeister Dale Chihuly's work provides a sampling of his greatest hits: the anemone-like pieces that bedeck the Bellagio in Las Vegas, the vaguely botanical spikes that crop up when he does shows at conservatories around the country, those twisty chandeliers he creates for high end condos and hotels, and a colored globe filled boat that's become one of his calling cards. There are even a few pieces from his early years when he was studying with Venini in Murano -- hilariously tacky creations that look like they came from a bad gift shop beside a Venetian canal. A nice film gives background on the man and his work, and answers the age-old question: did the master create these things himself, or was it all done by his elves? I won't tell :)

“Excellant!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 December 2012

Beautiful collection wonderfully displayed. The volunteer giving the tour was not able to answer a few questions and pictures are not allowed inside the collectin which is a shame as the pieces are beautiful and so well displayed. Otherwise definately worth the time-a must see.
