A great afternoon of snorkeling, looking for dolphins. Out to Egmont Key for more snorkeling and shelling. Captain Hans is very knowledgable about the area. Love this trip.

Had two adults and three kids (one thirteen years old) and we were able to rock and roll a four hour excursion which included the following:

1. Riding on a boat seeing dolphins and manatees
2. Snorkel over ruins next to an island with a cool lighthouse
3. Walk around on the beautiful island checking out the nature trail and historical monuments
4. Snorkel some more in the gulf where a manatee floated close by and check out neat shells
5. Ride back while kids got to feed the seagulls out of their hands and even mouths for --

a little over $200.00.

That, for a parent who needs to save money and plan wisely and carefully, is hard to beat.

Read the other reviews. Everything is very pretty, family friendly (my 6 year old snorkeled in 10 feet of water) and a simple delight. Some will say you can snorkel over prettier ruins. Sure. You can. Some will say the water is murky. It's the golf. Yes, it is. But take a little dive, as you would in a pool, and see the coral laden ruins teaming with all kinds of sea life. You'll enjoy. They don't skimp you, either. You get some very real time out there.

If you're leaning should I? Or shouldn't I. Say heck with it. Go. You won't regret it.

We stumbled upon this adventure online while planning our trip to St. Pete and decided to give it a try after reading all the good reviews. We called and spoke to Betty and she was very helpful and gave us all the info we needed to know. We could bring a cooler and snacks too which was a plus since the trip lasts 4 hrs. We felt it was a good deal for 2 adults and 3 kids and it sounded like a fun adventure for all of us.

The Captain and his First Mate were so wonderful and knowledgable! They were very talkative throughout the trip and eager to answer questions and stop the boat so we could check out the dolphins. We saw a few on our way out to Egmont and the kids really enjoyed these sightings. The Captain mentioned that the dolphins were likely feeding and staying down below at that early time of the day so he said we would likely see more swimming on the surface on our trip back.

They handed out flippers, life jackets, and snorkeling masks which gave us all a chance to try them on and get ready. One of the highlights for us was feeding the birds on the deck. The kids and some adults held Cheetos up in the air and the birds swooped down to grab them from our hands! It kept us all entertained while we made our way to and from Egmont.

Once we got to the ruins, we all took turns jumping out into the 10 ft deep water and our youngest kids got really scared at first and decided to get back on the boat. The crew took good care of them while we swam around but they soon jumped back in. We saw lots of fish and even some sea urchins! Our oldest daughter even discovered stairs under the water which was really cool.

We stayed out there around the ruins for about an hour which was plenty of time to see lots of sea life and enjoy the experience. We all got back on the boat and then went to the island where we had plenty of time to snorkel in the shallow water on the beach and to explore the area around the old military base and lighthouse. While snorkeling there we saw tons of sea slugs scurrying along the bottom...gross but fascinating!

As the time approached for our departure, a storm started brewing in the distance and even the anchor shifted and the boat started floating away. The crew took care of this immediately and we all boarded and headed back to avoid the storm. My only disappointment was that the Captain took us back a different way and we never saw any more dolphins. But I understand that the storm was getting closer and he had to focus on getting us back safe.

Overall it was a fantastic experience and I would recommend it to anyone looking for something to do in St. Pete.

The trip was very fun. We saw dolphins and other sea life while snorkeling. The crew was very nice and accommodating. They even have waterproof cameras for purchase aboard the ship. Overall, it was very fun and something I would highly recommend.
