We stopped by for a late lunch and had the BEST service and everything we ordered tasted GREAT! Fish, burger and shepherds pie - all VERY tasty! I even had leftovers to eat for lunch the next day! Will definitely return here when we are back down in FL.

A quaint place to eat. Would probably never have noticed it but it came highly recommended. It didn't disappoint. The fish was the best we have ever eaten (cod) and the chips were crisp and tasty. The coleslaw was the also the nicest we had eaten. It had a different flavour. Yum! We went on Tuesday when the special is two for one. It was very busy but the food came out perfectly cooked. Bravo to the chef and line cooks. Wait staff were friendly and kept the patrons waiting for a table ( and there were many), informed. Great place to eat.

Fish & chips (cod) is best you ever had or I give your money back. Shepherd's pie also worth eating. Good brew selection, well drawn.

On a typical Friday we often seek out new restaurants to try and the Tampa Bay area offers plenty of variety and settings: Beach Bars, to Fish Featured because it is caught locally, to ethnic specialties to burgers and brews. We were feeling a little UK (Keep Calm and Carry On) so our search was for a new place for Fish and Chips. The Britannia Arms is reminiscent of a good English Fish and Chips menu with a little variety for other tastes and a few British Ales. The Food was very good, the Guinness, Boddingtons Ale, and Tetleys were all delightful even when served at 'American' preferred temperatures. (It is a beach area after all!) And to the pleasure of clients who favor a little more healthy options, there was a veggie option to the chips. The service was moderately attentive while the kitchen was a little slow, but the ale helped. The only negative of the evening was the noise level. British Pubs have designs and decorating that helps subdue the joviality and enthusiasm which naturally comes at your 'local' or neighborhood Public House. But, of course, this can be a personal preference as it is true the lively mood of the packed house was evident. A good time was had by all.

Talked to a lady in a pharmacy that told us about this place. Lucky me! We went on Tuesday nite when that have 2 for 1 fish and chips - the biggest piece of fish ever and boy was it good. We had fish and chips and two beers for less than $20.00 ! On Saturday nite they have 1/2 price appetizers, and each nite of the week they have 2 for 1 specials. Friday nite is curry. My husband and our friend had liver and onions and said it was delicious, our other friend had chicken pot pie and said it was best she has tasted. It's a busy, fun pub type atmosphere. We loved it!
