Was in St. Petersburg this past weekend for the Indy race. Found this gem through Trip Advisor. The location and free parking are great, but what really makes this place are the friendly, genuine service from everyone that works there and the authentic vibe. Our room was small but there are plenty of lounge areas; we loved sitting on the big front porch. This is the real deal for those who value gently restored, quaint hotels. You can walk to everything or catch a ride with Wendy in the golf cart. The bar is lots of fun with the caribou head gazing down on you and Leah the mixologist creating a special concoction for you.

Room Tip: There are wooden floors throughout this three story hotel but we had no noise problems being on the...

I stayed here with my wife on my birthday and must say it was a great time! The hotel has character and personality. What was neat about this hotel is the layout gave me the feeling I was in a nice wintery home in say Connecticut, yet when entering our room it felt completely like a room at a Florida beach!

Our room was clean, had a kitchenette with all the trimmings, a flat screen tv with a great channel selection and the bed was very comfortable.

As a resident of St. Pete I am proud to see a great hotel like this in our downtown area. Also, please do not visit expecting a Hilton or Vinoy. This is unique, this is Boutique!

Room Tip: Be wary of Williams park when walking day or night.

This is really a nice hotel near downtown St Petersburg. We were here for a family wedding and were treated with the utmost respect. The rooms in the original part are small but they do have larger rooms in the newer section and they do allow pets for an additional fee. There are also plenty of museums and they do have a shuttle bus that'll take you there but you'll need to check with them for its operating hours. The onsite restaurant is also very good as well. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Wish we had planned to stay 2 or 3 nights. Right in downtown St Petersburg the Hollander is was built in 1933 and is renovated but used original flooring hardwood so polished you can see yourself in it. Very comfortable bed. The taproom looked most inviting. Had we stayed longer we would have tried it. The decor was so interesting with lots of memorabilia . Lovely

We stopped at the Hollander and had happy hour wine, beer and apps. I highly recommend the Cuban quesadillas, excellent taste! It was our first time here and this boutique hotel is cute and quaint, a very extroverted place! You can sit outside on the large porch and think of days gone by....

Loved staying at this hotel. I was in St Petersburg for 4 days and was pleasantly surprised by the room. It was well presented and very comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly and the bar had live music and a full compliment of craft beers to choose from. Two constructive points from my visit, however. The water pressure on the shower was a little slow and the free wifi only worked properly in the sitting area outside the room. Inside, I had to stand in the wall wardrobe to receive a connection. Even then, it wasn't very fast. But I would stay at this hotel again as St Petersburg is a lovely place to visit, the Hotel is perfectly situated for the purpose of my visit and the decor and ambiance of the hotel was wonderful. In summary, my experience was a happy one.

Stayed here the previous weekend, Thursday thru Saturday night as we are dealers with the St. Petersburg Bookfair. It was only a short 2 blocks to the Coliseum where the fair was. That's the good news. The bad news was we were on the first floor of an old hotel and Thumper was alive and well at midnight for half an hour making my husband get up and tell the manager. The manager promptly went up there and we had quiet until the morning. We asked for a room on the third floor, top, and we thought we were good, but that night the people staying down the hall from us were very loud almost screaming in the halls and banging doors at again 12:30 to 1 a.m.understand we had to set up our booth Friday morning took about 4 hours then work from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday we worked from 10 to 5 and Sunday 11 to 4, a long weekend. We really needed quiet rooms and even though they had a microwave and fridge and a lovely bar the most important thing is getting a good night's sleep. Saturday night I slept we my headsets on and again my husband said around 12:30 a group was talking loudly in the halls and slamming doors. If you want to party come here but if you need a good night's rest don't. If the management reads this please consider setting aside a portion of the rooms for people who need quiet at night, which we always ask when making a reservation, a quiet location. I truly would love to go back here if they can address this problem.
