What fun to stay as a Dutchman in Hollander. Rooms are clean though not very big. Staff is friendly. The restaurant is good and offers a wide range of craft brews! Coffee from the coffee shop is delicious as well as the several cakes to be enjoyed on the large porch.

This is a friendly welcoming place. It has been beautifully upgraded and is within walking distance of downtown restaurants, shops and Tropicana Field. Small dogs can eat or drink with you on the large front porch that captures a feeling from an earlier time. They even brought bowls of water for my jack russell. The staff makes you feel right at home. It has an open relaxed atmosphere that that is hospitable towards all their various guests. The bar is busy several nights a week with special activities and entertainment. This is a wonderful change from the mega hotel experience.

Very much a boutique hotel that's trying to be a bit art deco. The room we had was huge and it cost us almost nothing. It's not very fancy. Very laid back. It is not on the side of town that has all the tourist beaches, but it is a stones throw from Central Street which has a bunch of fun pub style bars. The staff there could not have been more friendly. A great get away from the hustle of the city kind of place. The Dali museum is very close, and they have a free shuttle to Tropicana Field to see the nearby Tampa Rays.

This is a delightful boutique hotel. It is clean, well managed, and has a wonderful 30's atmosphere. The free and plentiful parking situation is also a major plus, even though you won't have to drive more than a few minutes to numerous local attractions such as the Dali Museum or the Chihuly Collection. The rooms themselves are small but quaint-I stayed on the first floor. I was told it was the historical section that still had the original bathtubs-which are modest in size. The walls were a little thin and there was a slight open gap at the bottom of my room door so I was able to hear/ see anyone that passed by,which is a strange feeling if you are used to the massive airtight doors of the modern hotel, but it added to the uniqueness somehow. Overall a great stay, and I HIGHLY recommend having breakfast at the hotel, it is TERRIFIC. I cannot remember the last time I was greeted so warmly by a waiter, or had such a delicious breakfast. Order the Boston Cream French Toast, it is crazy good if you have a sweet tooth, seriously...so good.

This place is cool it really is like stepping back in time decorated in a really fun funky fashion with a huge veranda to cool off in the shade outside and drink in the sights. At night there is a very populate bar scene ...almost too popular? We got a lovely third floor suite that was quite and immaculate although this is an older hotel with some window ac units the rooms felt very well kept and the decor charming and cheery. Our kitchenette was well stocked with tools and even a full size stove and fridge. The bed was comfy enough ( a little springy) with nice linens but could really up the experience if it had a better quality mattress cover as I can feel a few coils here and there. My husband loved the gleaming hardwood floors and lovely wooden stair case plus free wifi ( as it should be!). The staff hasn't let things to their heads either none of the " we are so popular we don't need you business" attitudes from anyone. We really loved the day bartender Michelle who graciously let us sip and sample almost all their 21 craft beers on tap and explore the awesome Bloody Mary bar.... Love the bacon idea! All the food looked good... Will know soon if I can get out of this bed and go down the elegant stairs and eat! The location is ideal with lots of beautiful streets to stroll and shop. although the walk to the pier is about 20 minutes they have super cute golf cart shuttle to anywhere! Also note the bayside restaurants are a little pricey so if Ina budget head up 4th and eat near the sunken gardens for some great Greek at Athenian Gardens, huge portions of excellent homemade chow . We loved the locals dive bar El Cap for its cheap and totally delicious cheeseburgers. Even though the Hollander is busy and lots of packed parking lots all around our room is quiet and peaceful and we will certainly return to this little gem.... It's unique and adorable .

Room Tip: All rooms seem great!

We happened upon this hotel when searching for a place to stay near Tropicana Field. The staff is very friendly and the best part was traveling back in time for 1930s music Friday evening in the Tap Room. Our room was really spacious with a kitchen. Everything is extremely clean and neat and very affordable, too. The Tap Room is an added plus with great music and great food. I have Celiac so I can't eat gluten and there were many options for me including a delicious duck special. The Hollander is close to downtown cafes, bars, and shopping, too I will definitely stay there again.

The Hollander Hotel was just like it shows on the internet page. First impressions were just great and the look from the 30's was excellent .The rooms were very clean and neat. The entire staff were very hospitable and ready with any request. We had both breakfast and lunch there and the meals were plentiful and good tasting. We went there for 3 Milwaukee Brewer baseball games and the hotel supplied a ride to and from the stadium free of charge. We would definitely stay again. It is a MUST stay at a BOUTIQUE HOTEL. For craft beer lovers they have 21 different beers on tap.

Room Tip: I found no room to be bad from what I could see. Ask at front desk because they are very helpful and...
