My husband and I just returned from a wonderful 4 night stay at Song of the Seas. This resort is beautiful, clean, and quiet. The resort staff is helpful, gracious and very considerate. If you are looking for a quint, private get-away, we would highly recommend Song of the Seas. We enjoyed the breakfast each day and the use of bikes from the resort. Our pool side room was 30 steps to the pool and 300 steps to the Gulf. We enjoyed the pool, beach, shops, wonderful Sanibel restaurants and other opportunities on the island. Sanibel Island and Song of the Seas were a perfect get away for us!

Wow what an amazing property. It's like having your own condo on the beach. We had the ocean front suite. Very comfortable but the bathroom was a little small. The beach area was amazing. Hot tub was great after a day shelling. The property is small and quiet and very natural. This place was just perfect. I would definately go back again. You can't beat this property if you want to stay on the beach.

We stayed 7 nights at Song of the Sea and had a great stay. Breakfast was included each morning and consisted of muffins, pastries, fruit, cereal, bagels, Belgian waffle station, juices, coffee and tea. Our room had a microwave, stove, sink, full size fridge and dishes, pots/pans, etc. We saved money by making some of our own meals. Staff was very friendly and attentive. We stayed in a coastal view king room, and it was spacious. It could get a little loud if kids were loud at the pool below, but it wasn't much of an issue. We would be happy to stay here again!

We just returned from 4 nights and it was a wonderful stay. We had an Ocean Front Suite and it was really nice. Beautiful view of the beach and sea. I do not know why other reviewers complain about the size. This is not a 4 seasons! It is true that the bed takes up most of the bedroom, but so what! You are sleeping there, and it is really nice to have the separate living room and kitchen area. The bed was very comfortable and a nice large screened in lanai was great.

The complimentary breakfast is great with a large choice of breads, cereals, fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, juices, coffee and fresh made waffles. The staff was very friendly. It was nice to have chairs and umbrellas to use on the beach and we never had a probel getting one. The rooms are clean and very comfortable and the whole place has a peaceful feel to it.

My one complaint would be how hot the pool water was. You could not even use it. I am not sure if this can be addressed, but it would have been nice to cool off in a pool that was not 95 degrees +++.

Overall, this was a great place and I would love to go back again.

We needed a weekend away from the stress in our lives and we found a wonderful, peaceful refuge at The Song of the Sea. The oceanfront room was perfect! The kitchen equipped with everything we needed, the bed was more comfortable than the one we have at home. The staff were so nice. The breakfast was great and relaxing on the patio. The beach was peaceful without a crowd of people. It was exactly what we were looking for and can't wait to go back!!!

My husband and I stayed here for 8 days and it was pefect for us. Definitely a place for couples and not children. Stayed in King Beachview room. Great view of pool and gulf. The room was comfortable & clean and the kichenette was perfect. Supplied with everything you need. They also have a washer/dryer to clean you cloths if you packed light like us.
Only missing item is drying rack to put your bathing suits on either in bathroom or screened in private porchs. Bed was due to be replaced and heard this from other guests but still good enough. Great quiet location but easy to ride the FREE bikes around the Island to explore other beaches and get great Italian Ice Cream at Pinnochios on way to Light House. Hotel does not have much information on bike baths to give you so make sure you stop at Sanibel/Captiva Visitor Center on way onto Island. They have great maps with detail about how far each bikeway is to each Beach for shelling and other landmarks. Only issue we had is that many of the guests were smoking on their screened in porches which drifted into ours and also around the pool area. No one around to enforce the No-Smoking Policy. We picked this hotel for the Non-Smoking Policy so we were disappointed about this but since we were out all day on beach and off property most of time it was not a huge issue but something they should stay on top of. Free breakfast at hotel is great! The hotel employees are so nice and helpful we felt like family by the time we left. Make sure you go on Kayak ride at Tarpon Bay. Well worth it to see the birds. Don't bother doing tram ride as you won't see anything but it is very educational. Recommend this hotel as a great deal for what they offer.

We have stayed at Song of the Sea many times but this was our first staying with our infant and they did great from all areas! They honored our room request and had the crib set up upon our arrival and even housekeeping set up a play yard after one time I'd just asked for an extra pad for him to play on since the floor was hard. They all treated him so nice and as usual the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Even though there's no kiddie pool, it was great because hardly anyone was in the pool and it was so nice and warm for him. It's great how they set up the chairs and umbrellas on the beach too as I wouldn't want to have to do that with a baby in tow. The breakfast is great-we love making our own waffles and eating out on the lovely patio-my son loved the fountain. The location is great and we enjoyed many leisurely strolls and just relaxing there as a family. It was the perfect pick for his first vacation.
