“Beach Apartment is brilliant”

I stayed with Family here over Easter, the flats are privately owned and rented out through the office. So what you get is some personal touches to the decoration, living area and layout etc. We had 3 apartments between us and they were all individual but all very nice. All had big balconies with lots of space. The lounge area was big, the bedrooms fine. There were 2 bathrooms in the 2 bedroom flats. Garage downstairs for the bikes and hire car too. Pool was fine, but when the beach is only 10yds away! The beach is great, sandy white sand (!)... for miles and miles. Wifi was good too for skyping home. Def recommend. 4 or 5 stars? Well the air con was noisy! Can't comment on the value as I didn't pay the bill.

Room Tip: All have balconies, all have stairs, there was a lift , but all had their own features.

Just returned from a quiet and relaxing stay at the Sanibel Siesta. We had a beautiful condo with great views. Beach was close and uncrowded; most of the time we had the swimming pool to ourselves. Staff very friendly We will be back!

We found and selected this condo from a discount booking service, but we couldn't be happier to book the room for the bargain price. We are here mid May, sort of a shoulder season, but that just means the temps are a little higher but there are very few people on the island. Easier getting tables for dinner, easier to travel around the island and relatively empty beaches.
Our unit has 2 BR, one with queen bed and the other with twins. We didn't need the extra room for just the two of us, but it allowed us to spread out our luggage and clothes. The master has a large walk in closet-- certainly more space than we need for a week's worth of shorts, sandals and swimsuits.
The pool is kept clean and has several shaded spaces as well as the full sun chairs. We had two little issues that were resolved quite quickly by the friendly staff. Bike rentals are available and there are miles of bike trails to just about anywhere you'd want to go on the island.
Living on the island for a week is probably a bit more expensive than a week over on the mainland (Ft Myers Beach), but the community here is so laid back and residential the extra cost is all worth it.
Don't come for the nightlife, the discos or the tuxedo dinner parties, but certainly come for the sun, the water and the company of your travel mate.

Room Tip: Beach front units only have a slightly better beach view, so not sure that price upgrade would be wo...

We rented 2 units (502 and 602) for the two families. Nice beach, very good location and the condo themselves are very comfortable, clean. The office staff are very helpful in the booking and check-in, check-out process. Will be back if we come back to Sanibel.

Selected this hotel based on trip advisor reviews. Arrived after office hours for check in and they had our key waiting at the hotel next door, which was accommodating. Condo has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Fully equipped like home. Nice pool and on the beach. Office staff very helpful and accommodating. Quiet complex, not a spring break college hang out at all. We booked last minute so we did not have a choice of units, but would come back and reserve one with gulf view. We had a garden view, which was nice, but water view would be more our choice next time. Complex is clean, including the bbq grills. Unit we rented, 106, was clean, and a homey feel. All balconies are screened, and our corner unit had 2 balconies. Would definitely return.

Room Tip: Look for gulf view for spectacular views.

I spent five glorious days with my partner and his two teenage daughters at Sanibel Siesta Unit 109. We loved every second. The condo was clean and well equipped. Sitting out on the lanai watching the palm trees sway in the perfect breeze was heavenly. The beds were very comfortable. The only thing we didn't like was saying goodbye. This is a great place to stay if you like an active vacation. There are so many choices. Hang out at the beautiful beach, amazing pool, bike around town and explore the island....superb.

Room Tip: Look on the Sanibel Siesta website. You can check out details of each unit before booking.

Spent a week in unit 607 before Easter. Had a great time and would do it again!
Sanibel Siesta in general- pleasant dealings with rental office while onsite, great location in Sanibel- we could bike anywhere and never take the car in Sanibel (except the one night it stormed). Right on the beach. Beach area was not crowded at all, even right around Easter. Water in Sanibel was not clear the week we were there, but was pleasant to swim in.
Can walk to a few restaurants. Holiday Inn right next door was convenient for their pool bar (open to public) where you can grab lunch or even an early dinner and drinks and take it to the beach or to your balcony to enjoy. Holiday Inn breakfast seemed overprice and not amazing, but certainly convenient. The Sundial resort was a 5-10 minute walk away on the beach (or sidewalk) and was a nice place for a nicer dinner with ocean view restaurants. Other than that, most meal options were a 1-2 mile bike away on Periwinkle.
Enjoyed kayaking on Tarpon Bay with a tour that said it was 90 mins but really took 2-2.5 hrs and then you could keep the kayak for the rest of the day.
Bike rental onsite was so convenient- they didn't have a large selection of bikes for smaller kids, but they tried hard to find something to work and were successful.
Unit 607- Perfect location! Steps away from the beach so that if wasn't even a big deal to run back up to the room if you forgot something when on the beach. View of ocean from balcony was nice. Huge screened in balcony with afternoon sun, great to enjoy for outdoor breakfasts and lounging. The unit appeared to be all recently redone- kitchen, sinks, floors, furniture, etc. was modern- with the exception of a few details (tub, faucet handles) that seemed older. Also some of the window blinds need some repair or replacement, it was hard to use the ones in the extra bedroom, but we figured out how to work with them- given the way the rest of the unit was upkept well, I'm sure they'll fix those soon. It was nice having curtains on top of the blinds to block out some extra light, although the curtains were not room darkening. Very comfortable chairs to sit in in living room. Bed in Master was comfortable. One small complaint was- the room had lots of extra pillows but no extra pillow cases. So by the time we realized that the rental office was closed so we waited to the next day to get the extra cases- so one night with not enough pillows for our taste. Maybe we could have called the rental office emergency line for pillow cases- not sure, didn't try it.
It was nice having the garage right below for not only the car but to store the beach stuff and bikes. Beach supplies provided were great- beach chairs not fancy but comfortable enough, sands toys great for the kids, even a few floaties were there too.
Would definitely stay here again, and would definitely pick 607 again as well.
