We are adults and have been to Sanibel before but by taking the time to tour the village we were enlightened by all of the things about the island we had never known before. I would recommend this tour for every Sanibel visitor. The guides were all happy to share their knowledge with their visitors. It is really like taking a step back in time to a harder way of life.

We have been to Sanibel many times and this was our first time at the museum. It was very interesting with lots of early island historical facts and artifacts. Well worth the entrance fee.

It is a very easy collection of buildings to walk. I think the crown jewel is the home called Morning Glories. It is amazing to think it was bought through the Sears Catalog. Each building is filled with period memorabilia. Each building also has a recording that provides good background information. There are docent tours available and I could see where it might be beneficial to have a knowledgeable person walking you around. I think it would be cool if sweet tea or lemonade was available in the tea room. But I understand why they don't.

A number of historic buildings have been moved to a central location on Sanibel island to replicate a tiny community.

The tour guides are very knowledgeble and ready to answer any questions. The buildings (school house, post office, packing shed and two residential houses) were meticulously maintained

Was a enjoyable trip back into time - for only $10 per person

We have been to Sanibel several times and have never visited until this past visit. It was great! All the buildings are in great shape and the displays are much better than most museums.
