“Perfect Spot for a great Sunset!”

We were very lucky to get a parking spot two nights in a row for a fabulous show of colors in the sky! $2 an hour to park, strictly enforced, easiest if you use quarters! (Very stubborn with dollar bills!)

We timed it just right both nights, went to the Captiva side, parked and was on the beach in under two minutes! (Didn't have to walk through the sea oats or large vegetation!). Because it was so close to the bridge, had a wonderful breeze both nights! And NO noseums!

Grandson had a blast playing in the surf and the breeze was delightful! The restrooms were available with a small foot shower I the back to clean the kids before loading back up in the car!

Many couples enjoying the beautiful sunsets! And many families getting family photos!

Perfect way to end the day!

The parking is minimal, there are no facilities on the Sanibel side (bathrooms and a shower on the Captiva side), and no other offerings here. Bring your own everything and find a spot among the crowds. Shelling is great at low tide but keep an eye on your little ones (or anyone that's not a strong swimmer). The currents here are strong. Beware. This is a great place to come watch the sunset, pay your $2 per hour to park and bring bug spray! The no-see-ums are fierce at sunrise and sunset.

If you're looking for shells, this is a great place to start your search. Hit this one at low tide and you'll not be disappointed.

We go there several evenings when visiting the island. Great view of the Sunsets. We brought our beach chairs and beverage and camera of course for some fabulous sunset pictures
