Bomb Dot Com.....The End!!!! Ok seriously, this place was awesome. First of all you have to be looking for it in order to find it. It is an entire community tucked away along the pristine sugar sand shores of the Gulf Coast. The accommodations were awesome and the staff was top notch. It was a great experience. Far too short. I went for Labor Day last year and it was moderately busy BUT it really did not feel to crowded. I look forward to going back real soon.

P.S. I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 because it is a bit pricey. But it is a luxury resort, so they are all about providing an experience.

This was our first time at WaterColor Inn. We loved it. We have three children and found that there was plenty to do to keep them entertained. They loved the marshmallow roasting on the beach the first evening we arrived. They loved the library with all the DVDs, not to mention the bikes, fishing, canoes, swimming pool, and, the best of all, the beach! It was so pretty and clean. This is a family-oriented place, and we loved that there were no teenagers taking over the beach, pool, or other public areas at night. No loud music (except for the one night when a wedding was taking place, but this was easy to drown out with my white-noise app).
It's not only a fun place for families, it's also a great place for couples. I look forward to when I can visit WaterColor with my husband alone and use the adult-only pool and go for dinner at the fine-dining restaurants on site.

Room Tip: Fourth floor rooms give you a view of the ocean.

Just returned from a six night, Memorial Day week stay at Watercolor Inn. Overall a very nice stay. The hotel is beautifully located on the dunes overlooking the sugar white sand beach. The rooms are generous in size and decorated very nicely. Did not have food their so can not comment on that. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Would certainly consider another stay.
One word of caution, had no internet service the first two and a half days of stay which was quit an inconvenience causing a delay in completing important business. Most disconcerting was told "Oh yea, we have had that problem on and off for some time". Eventually, router was installed in my room that corrected the problem for me but noticed other guests sitting outside having problems getting a connection. I would ask if this problem had been corrected before returning.

Room Tip: Fourth floor for best ocean view.

Just returned from our 5 night stay at WaterColor. The resort, room and hotel staff were exceptional!!!!! I cannot express how wonderful our experience was at this resort. Our room (418) was terrific - we had a fantastic view, especially at sunset. The room was spotless and in tip top shape (I was concerned about recent reviews about dirty carpets and worn out sofas-not found in this room!). The service and staff at this hotel are top notch. Everyone was so polite, helpful and eager to assist with any requests that we had. We will definitely be back to WaterColor and thank the staff and management for such a lovely experience!

We were very excited about our vacation at Watercolor Inn. Our friends had vacationed at Seaside for many years. We decided the Inn was perfect for our two day getaway. While there are positive areas of the Inn the biggest negative is the cleanliness of the rooms. Our room was not ready until the official check in of 4pm. We were given cards to use the pool while waitng but no access to a change area. We had to request a map and activity schedule. The lobby flowers are pretty much a disarrayed mess. Staff trys to be helpful but are unprofessional and under trained.
The room we had could have been great if it were clean! The bath floor behind the door was a dirty mess with hair and hairpins, the toilet had rusted floor bolts, the ceiling fan was dusty, debris. Under the chair cushions, the shower handle broken and difficult to regulate the water. After seeing these things I was afraid to look any further in our room. The common areas are not fresh or inviting. For the $$$ you pay the one thing you expect us clean.
The Fish Out Of Water Restaurant is excellent. Beautiful view, exceptional food. This was probably the best part of our trip. Until the rooms are cleaner, we will not return.

Room Tip: Stay away from the elevator rooms. They are very noisy. Room on three and four are best.
