Went to Sarasota Brewing Co. for the Chicago deep dish. I'm very sorry but it leaves a lot to be desired. First, they couldn't make my drink, it was terrible (I don't drink beer). The service was slow and it took forever to get our drinks. Then we ordered the pizza. Deep dish, with sausage, mushrooms and onions. There was once small lump of sausage on each piece. Mushrooms were okay but onions were just sliced thin in rings and thrown on top. I had more onions on the pizza then anything else. The crust was okay but dry and tasteless. What a shame! When we complained and were very clear we didn't want anything free-just to tell them the problem, the server said he would get the manager. That took 15 minutes before he came to the table and by then the pizza was cold. He apologized and said the owner is here so let me tell him. The owner never came over and avoided us as we left. Being from Chicago we had high hopes and truly wanted the pizza to be good. If you say Chicago deep dish then that's what it should be. They've been away from the Windy City too long and must have forgotten what it's supposed to be like. The service was not the best, but not the server's fault. He just had too many customers to wait on.
