“One of my favorite spots!”
Reviewed 21 April 2014

St. Armands Circle is just about a mile from a timeshare I visit every summer. You can spend a lot or a little, or none and just enjoy the great people-watching. We never leave without a few meals at the Blue Dolphin (same great wait staff for many years) and Cha Cha Coconuts (at Cha Chas, try to get one of the outdoor tables--adds to the vacation atmosphere). Take your pick from any of the ice cream shops. And the shopping is fun--yes it can be expensive but many stores do have some good sales throughout the summer. The beach is about a two-minute walk from the edge of the Circle--some of the prettiest sunsets every.

“Wonderful area with shops and restaurants”
Reviewed 16 April 2014

St. Armand's is a wonderful area with shopping and restaurants. Good for a drink or maybe some ice cream. And the beach is just a short walk away.

“Too chic for toilets”
Reviewed 16 April 2014

The area is busy and some enjoyable browsable shops. I arrived after coffee and looked in vain for a public restroom usually found at most tourist locations. Unfortunately the provision of this most basic of public services has been neglected and i choose to not return. A somewhat backward tourist trap.

“Must Do!”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

Has to be on the top of any list of places to visit in Sarasota. It all starts with the drive across the bridge from the mainland to the key. The Circle has a multitude of shops offering shabby to chic. Restaurants aplenty, but in season the wait can be painfully long. Try booking ahead, if at all possible - warning, many places don't accept reservations in season. Parking is not especially good, but with patience you'll find a spot. An important point - obey the speed limits.
