We love visiting O'Leary's when we visit Sarasota. The restaurant feels like a Caribbean resort. Great view of the bay, boats, paddle boarders, etc. Picnic tables on the sandy beach, thatched roof dining room, tropical music. Great stuff. The food, however is nothing special. Think basic grub. Burgers, grilled cheese, fish fingers. You order at the bar, then they call your number and you go pick it up. Certainly very casual. Just don't expect a great meal. Then again, who really cares? You go there for the tropical ambiance. If you want fine dining, go to town. After your meal, walk it off around the harbor area. Pretend one of the larger yaht's docked is yours!
